Cartier unveils its newest fragrance, Délices de Cartier, the floral scent created by Christine Nagel, which includes “top notes of cherry with jasmine in the heart and amber and vanilla at the base.” The fragrance is inspired by the Cartier jewellery collection. • julien: The bottle is great.
It might be a fruity gourmand…but if it well done it could be interesting.
Cherry is in vogue now…thanks to Lutens with Rahat loukhoum.
I didn’t know about this news,so thank you so much!:)

  • BoisdeJasmin: Julien, the bottle does look lovely, and since I like red glass, it is very appealing. Let’s hope that the fragrance is not too sweet. January 12, 2006 at 12:55pm Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: Linda, I also noticed the bottle. I am not sure what I feel about cherries in fragrance, but I did not mind it in Rahat Loukoum. January 12, 2006 at 12:59pm Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: Rahat Loukhoum/Toddler Collision would put me off cherry too! I discovered that I like Must de Cartier very much, however if you do not like Shalimar genre fragrances, you may not like that one. January 12, 2006 at 2:41pm Reply

  • julien: Well,i adore shalimar and hate the sugary note after the green one in MUST.

But it is true,it’s the same family:oriental. January 12, 2006 at 4:35pm Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: I find it pretty much the same as Shalimar, but with more civet. However, you are right, it is sweeter and has a caramelized aspect that Shalimar lacks. In the older version, it is more pronounced, but the new one has a strange synthetic sharpness which upsets the entire thing for me. January 12, 2006 at 4:42pm Reply

  • Campaspe: The bottle is gorgeous enough to make me consider forgetting that A. I haven’t liked a Cartier scent yet and B. I am sort of off cherry, too, ever since the Great Rahat Loukhoum/Toddler Collision of 2005. January 12, 2006 at 1:53pm Reply
