Kenzo Amour : Perfume News

Kenzo Parfums is presenting Kenzo Amour, or Kenzo Love, its biggest launch since Flower by Kenzo, a highly successful 2000 release. “The scent is an olfactory voyage through Asia, meant to evoke frangipani flowers from Bali, Japanese cherry blossom and rice and vanilla from China.” Kenzo Amour is created by Daphné Bugey (Le Labo Bergamote 22, Rose 31, Neroli 36), who chose the notes and Olivier Cresp (Paco Rabanne Black XS), who formulated the perfume.

It includes “top notes of cherry blossom, rice and white tea; heart notes of frangipani and heliotrope, and base notes of thanaka wood, vanilla and musk.” The lacquered glass bottles will come in three designs: freesia (30ml), white (50ml) and orange (100ml). It will be distribution in Western markets starting in September 2006, and in Asian in 2007. From Cosmeticnews and WWD.

  • cynthia: I love the smell of cherry blossom, but I don’t know of any perfume that uses this note. Can you please recommend something for me? May 15, 2006 at 12:10pm Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: Cynthia, there is Guerlain Cherry Blossom, which has several different versions as well. I do not find to be close to the real fragrance of cherry blossoms however. I am still looking for something that is. May 15, 2006 at 12:53pm Reply
