Parfumerie Generale has extended its line with the following fragrances:
Jardins de Kerylos
A pairing of fig and sycamore wood.
Iris Taïzo
Cardamom, iris, gingko wood, fig honey, Mexican vanilla.
Aomassaï
Inspired by the African woods and accented with the gourmand notes. Caramel, hazelnuts, spices, vetiver, tolu balsam, bitter orange, incense, licorice and wenge wood.
Hyperessence Matale
A more concentrated version of L’Eau Rare Matale.

Prince Barry: The Aomassai is my particular favourite at the moment. It’s such a special scent.

Prince Barry: So far the Hyperessence Matale is lasting really well. The citrus notes at the top were quite pronounced, in fact at first it reminded me of Le Labo’s Bergamote and Earl Grey Tea. Once it had settled, the cedar, musk and pepper came through. At the moment, the pepper is quite pronounced but not to the extent of the pepper in Caron’s Poivre, this one is sweeter. The Bergamot note is still there hiding behind the pepper. Underneath all those, simmering away is the tea note. May 12, 2006 at 3:55pm
BoisdeJasmin: That sounds wonderful! Le Labo Bergamote is one of my favourites from that line, and while I like L’Eau Matale, it vanished too quickly to make an impression. Sounds like I will have to seek out Hyperessence. Thanks again for reviews! May 12, 2006 at 4:01pm
