Discontinued Favorites : L’Artisan Parfumeur and Serge Lutens

L’Artisan Parfumeur is discontinuing Navegar and Tea for Two, while Serge Lutens is removing Five O’Clock Au Gingembre from its collection. I’m disappointed, since I just fell in love anew with Navegar.  Those who love these fragrances might want to stock up. Via Luckyscent.

  • Ines: Oh no, I’m a fan of Navegar.
Oh well, some shopping is obviously scheduled in the near future. 😉 June 29, 2012 at 7:55am Reply

    • Victoria: I like Tea for Two as well, but Navegar was the one that hooked me the most recently. June 29, 2012 at 8:23am Reply

  • MB: I’m a Johnny-Come-Lately w/ regards to Tea for Two but since I discovered it last year, I’m obsessed w/ it. I’m very disappointed to hear L’Artisan has made this decision! June 29, 2012 at 11:52am Reply

    • Victoria: Not sure why they chose to axe this one in particular. It’s such a quintessential L’Artisan to me. June 29, 2012 at 12:29pm Reply

  • Brooke: Is FOaG going to be dropped altogether or just housed as a Palais Royale exclusive like Meil, Chypre Rouge, and the others? I don’t remember SL ever really dropping a fragrance entirely. June 29, 2012 at 10:43pm Reply

    • Victoria: I don’t know, Brooke, this came from Luckyscent. But you’re right, I don’t recall Lutens ever removing a fragrance out of its line completely. June 30, 2012 at 4:42am Reply

  • Persolaise: When I recently interviewed the Creative Director of L’Artisan/Penhaligon’s, she was shocked to discover that news has spread that Tea For Two is being discontinued. As far as she’s aware, it’s definitely not going away. June 30, 2012 at 10:38am Reply

    • Victoria: This is from Luckyscent, so it’s possible that this concerns the US only, because Tea for Two isn’t even available anymore on the US version of L’Artisan website. June 30, 2012 at 11:00am Reply

  • lucas: I have a small decant of Tea for Two in my fragrant drawer, but for me it’s not something special, although I know it has many lovers June 30, 2012 at 10:45am Reply

    • Victoria: I recently smelled Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb and it reminded me of Tea for Two. An excellent perfume! July 1, 2012 at 6:29pm Reply

  • Peter: Five O’Clock au Gingembre’s one of my favorite scents, good thing I just bought a new bottle. June 30, 2012 at 3:26pm Reply

    • Victoria: You’re in good shape then. 🙂 July 1, 2012 at 6:29pm Reply

  • Undina: I haven’t tried Navegar (and probably I shouldn’t even try to now) but I like the other two. I have Tea for Two in my collection. So I need to decide quickly if I want to buy Five O’Clock Au Gingembre. July 1, 2012 at 2:59am Reply

    • Victoria: I like Navegar, but I have to admit that it’s the most original of L’Artisans. It smells like so many sheer, peppery cedarwoods out there (Escentric Molecules, Hermessence Poivre Samarcande…) Still, it’s a perfect casual fragrance that always elicits lots of compliments. • Austenfan: It’s for sale now ( Navegar) on the Artisan website. Like it but not enough to want a full bottle, even at a discounted price. July 1, 2012 at 6:02am Reply

    • Victoria: I guess I wouldn’t mind a bottle at discount, but if I add the shipping costs, etc, it still comes out to be more than I want to spend. July 1, 2012 at 6:31pm Reply
