Giorgio Armani Eau de Nuit and Rose D’Arabie L’Or de Desert : New Perfumes

Giorgio Armani is presenting its new fragrance Armani Eau de Nuit in February, along with the reissue of Eau Pour Homme (1984, perfumer Roger Pellégrino). Intended as a masculine launch, Armani Eau de Nuit features bergamot, cardamom, pink pepper, iris, nutmeg, basil, cedarwood, ambrox, and tonka bean. Described as “an epitome of elegance,” it was created by Firmenich perfumer Marie Salamagne.

Marie Salamagne also worked on another new Giorgio Armani release, Armani Privé Rose D’Arabie L’Or de Désert. It’s a richer twist on Rose d’Arabie, a Middle Eastern inspired rose perfume from the 1001 Nights Collection. It’s described as “a homage to the splendors of the East and the mysteries of the desert.” The perfume is mixed with gold flakes, which leave skin slightly shimmery.

Rose D’Arabie L’Or de Désert includes notes of saffron, rose, ginger, patchouli, oud, amber and woods. The 100ml eau de parfum retails for €255. Available at the select Armani Privé counters for a limited time. Via Le Bon Marché.

  • Charlotte: Logically Id call that a perfumed bodyproduct, kind of stupid that you cant choose if you want to be golden, or not, as in My case. Doubt that I would by a scentfilled with make up , even if Id really like it. January 21, 2013 at 7:52am Reply

    • Victoria: The two fragrances are slightly different. January 21, 2013 at 11:07am Reply

  • Jillie: How do you think these two Roses d’Arabie would compare with Ormonde Jayne’s Ta’if? January 21, 2013 at 11:04am Reply

    • Victoria: Jillie, I would say that Ta’if is sweeter, warmer, while Rose d’Arabie is woody and ambery. I prefer Ta’if, which seems more interesting to me. January 21, 2013 at 11:16am Reply

      • Jillie: Thanks, Victoria! That was my feeling, even though I haven’t smelt the Roses – just going by your great descriptions! January 22, 2013 at 1:15am Reply

  • Lucas: Interesting.
I’m 100% sure Armani Eau de Nuit will appear in Poland.
    I’m also 100% sure 1001 Nights Rose d’Arabie won’t appear in Poland…
