Chanel Les Exclusifs Samples Giveaway

In  a rare moment of organization, I’ve cleaned up my perfume cabinet and discovered  that I have a few extra samples of Chanel Les Exclusifs. I would love to send them to a good home. One Bois de Jasmin reader will receive 5 different 4-5ml samples of Chanel 1932, Gardenia, No 22, Beige, and 28 La Pausa (different from what’s pictured; the samples are the miniature versions of Chanel bottles). I will also add something else from my stash, as a little holiday surprise. All of the samples are new.

How it works:  Please  leave a comment answering the following question: “Do you make New Year resolutions? If so, what resolution would you make for 2014?” Each participant will be assigned a number, and the winner will be selected via a random number generator. The contest is now closed, I will announce the winner this weekend on December 26th (apologies for a holiday related delay). The only caveat is that I won’t be able to mail the package until after the holidays.

Giveaway explanation: anybody from the US or overseas can enter as long as you answer specific questions explained in the contest rules.  If a winner does not respond within a week, I reserve the right to randomly pick a runner up.

  • Cornelia Blimber: New Year resolutions? No. I try to start each day afresh, in 2014 as in 2013. December 13, 2013 at 7:17am

  • Mer: Never! It seems to me it would be counter-productive. If I ever want to get started with something or make changes, I do it straight away. December 13, 2013 at 7:22am

  • Karima: what a lovely giveaway! i have always wanted to try the exclusifs but am usually wearing something when i go a-sniffing, and samples are becoming ever more difficult to come by.

i do make resolutions – two that have been on my list for years and will be included again for 2014 are to slow down and to be silent more often. not easy, but i will get there eventually! hope you are enjoying the “Advent”! December 13, 2013 at 7:22am

  • TP: I try not to make any resolutions. I don’t consider NY a focal point for any changes. December 13, 2013 at 7:42am

  • monkeytoe: What a lovely giveaway. Thank you.

I do make New Year’s resolutions, though I guess I should call them solstice resolutions. December 13, 2013 at 7:44am

  • Agritty: yes i do – every year i promise myself I will be more productive. I never feel I keep the promise! December 13, 2013 at 7:50am

  • K.O.: I usually try to make a New Year’s resolution, though I use it more as inspiration rather than as a strict rule I must religiously adhere to. For 2014, I plan to start jogging. Let’s just hope I get those jogging shoes on my Xmas list! ;) December 13, 2013 at 8:03am

  • Betsy: I absolutely never make a new year’s resolution! I feel like resolutions so often are too grand and overwhelming to tackle, and end in dissapointment or feelings of failure. I rather try to live every day to the hilt, whether I am super productive and energetic or simply have a quiet, lazy day with my family. Ultimately live every day with joy and gratitude is my motto. Happy Holidays to one of my favorite blogs! December 13, 2013 at 8:14am

  • Patricia: Thank you for this opportunity

Yes, I am still a fool and make them. My resolution this year is to be kinder to people and to expect less from them, that is much needed in my country right now. December 13, 2013 at 8:15am

  • Alexandra: More live music in 2014! December 13, 2013 at 8:15am

  • Becky: I only make highly attainable resolutions. Like the year I resolved to drink more beer in the shower. Those were the days.

This year, I want to have a garage sale . December 13, 2013 at 8:20am

  • rosarita: What a lovely draw, thank you! No, I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. I know myself too well :-) December 13, 2013 at 8:27am

  • Caroline: I don’t make NY resolutions….I’m the opposite of a type “a” personality! December 13, 2013 at 8:29am

  • Sebastiaan: Dear Victoria,

Yet another great opportunity from you to continue my study in fragrance!

I am 25, just graduated from a master’s degree in marketing & creativity, and found myself incredibly lucky to find a job in product development for fragrance. I feel incredibly lucky, it made me realize how excited I am to learn more about fragrance. Therefore my news year’s resolution is:

To gain as much knowledge I can on fragrance. Not just for my career but more so out of pure passion.

    Thanks! December 13, 2013 at 8:33am

  • Margaret: No, I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. Unless you count resolve to get all the Christmas decorations put away by the end of the day! December 13, 2013 at 8:33am

    • MontrealGirl: :-) December 14, 2013 at 12:35pm

  • FearsMice: I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions, but I admire those who do — and who manage to keep them longer than the first two weeks of January! December 13, 2013 at 8:45am

  • Edward Gomez: I always make New Year’s resolutions which I rarely keep! This year’s will be to eat less pizza. December 13, 2013 at 8:51am

  • AD: I don’t normally make New Year’s resolutions. I just find it frustrating when I’m not able to keep them. I normally just promise to better myself in whatever little way I can. Keeping it as vague as possible. :)

Thank you for the lovely giveaway. I love Chanel’s Les Exclusifs but have only tried a couple of them. These samples would be a great way to explore them. December 13, 2013 at 8:56am

  • WJ: I do make New Year’s resolutions. There is something about this beginning of a New Year that give me more self discipline. I feel total boring, just wanting to loose weight, but it’s important to me at this stage. December 13, 2013 at 9:08am

  • Anna: For this year’s resolution I will try to be more patient.
    P.s. Love your blog December 13, 2013 at 9:08am

  • ralu: Hi Victoria,

Thank you for the giveaway! It’s very generous of you. I don’t make new year’s resolutions which doesn’t mean that I don’t have goals. It’s more of a continuous process and I constantly strive to improve. Improvement and changes doesn’t happen in a linear fashion which is why new year’s resolutions are difficult. December 13, 2013 at 9:09am

  • Connie: I don’t generally make New Year’s resolutions, I feel that when something needs to change I’ll know and hope to be able to act on that knowledge any day. December 13, 2013 at 9:09am

  • Anja: no, I’ve never even tried to make a resolution – I’m not sure I’m ready to part with my vices!
This is a lovely giveaway! I haven’t had the opportunity to sample any chanel exclusifs due to my unfortunate geographic location, so here’s crossing my fingers… December 13, 2013 at 9:10am

  • Susan Minnicks: I typically renew the focus of my “work,” this year it’s being more gentle to myself and others and not interrupting so much, especially to people I love, my sister and my “work sister.”
My father gave me a bottle of Chanel 19 when it came out in the 70′s, and I was loyal for decaded until he died 10 years ago, now I’m a total experimenter. Current love: Hermes Jour and Marine Epices.
I can’t find the Exclusifs here to try. December 13, 2013 at 9:11am

  • Bastet: Thank you for the wonderful giveaway. I have some Chanels that are among my favorites (Coco and Egoiste) but have not tried many of the exclusifs.

No, I don’t generally make New Years resolutions. However if I were to this year I would try to make it to the gym more regularly. It is so hard to fit exercise into a busy schedule, yet I always feel much better when I do. December 13, 2013 at 9:11am

  • Jane Vesper: Thank you so much for this opportunity – what a lovely gift.

My New Year’s Resolution is to be more green in the way I move through the world. To be more thoughtful about how I reuse products, what I purchase.

    Happy Holidays ~ Jane December 13, 2013 at 9:11am

  • rickyrebarco: Wow,great. Thank you for the generous giveaway. I never make resolutions because I only break them- I go for general trends, I will “try” to do x. December 13, 2013 at 9:14am

  • Eleni: I do make New Year resolutions. I write a whole list of them and typically, I never keep them.
For 2014, my resolution, apart from the usual ones (eg. lose weight!), will be for me to be more organized. It’s getting to the point where even I can see it’s not helping being chaotic.

Thank you for the generous giveaway! December 13, 2013 at 9:15am

  • Roberta Vommaro: Hi Victoria, yes, I normally make New Year’s resolutions. However, I do keep in mind that these resolutions may change over the year. For instance, one year I focused on finding a better job and making money. Once I was able to do so, I made a new resolution. So I guess what I mean is that I make resolutions all the time. I like to plan, to have goals. For 2014 my resolution will be to meditate. Simple, yet powerful. December 13, 2013 at 9:15am

  • Nurse Tilda: No New Year’s resolution – New Day’s resolutions. New resolutions every day is what I make when I get up in the morning.
Happy New Year. December 13, 2013 at 9:16am

  • Emily: What a nice and generous giveaway — thank you, Victoria!

My New Year’s resolutions will be very cliched this year, relating to weight loss and job advancement. I’ll have to think of a fun third one — maybe finally going down to the Everglades and taking an airboat ride! December 13, 2013 at 9:17am

  • Nina: Not at the New Year – my birthday is when I do most of my annual reflection! December 13, 2013 at 9:18am

  • Julie: Thank you again for your generosity!

No, I do not make resolutions. I try to be conscious of constant growth. I may be hopelessly blind in some areas that desperately need attention, but I try my best.
By the way, I absolutely adore Chanel parfums.
What a wonderful Christmas treat!! December 13, 2013 at 9:19am

  • sylvie: Each year I attempt to be more organized in my closets, cabinets, drawers , but I fail miserably! December 13, 2013 at 9:19am

  • Tijana: My only resolution (and I try to make this an everyday one vs. NY’s) is to live life to the fullest possible! I also do my best to remind myself that for every unhappy minute of one’s life, one loses 60 seconds of happiness – and I try to let this reminder guide me through every day of the year! Some days I am more successful than others, but I am getting better at it! :-) December 13, 2013 at 9:22am

  • Anne Sheffield: What a beautiful giveway. Thank you !!!
I never make new year s résolution, but i do have a lot of résolutions that i take yearly, and randomly. However, i never fell to eat lentils on the first of january, for good luck. ;-) December 13, 2013 at 9:23am

  • Ariadne: NO. I gave up making New Years resolutions years ago. I decided they serve nothing other than to cause me undo stress. Happy Holidays to all! December 13, 2013 at 9:25am

  • Erika: Thanks for the giveaway! I generally do not make New Year’s resolutions and instead try to set goals throughout the year. December 13, 2013 at 9:25am

  • Sapphire: Hi Victoria! Thanks for the very generous drawing. I do still make New Year’s resolutions. I hadn’t thought about what to resolve yet, but I guess the idea that would bring all my good intentions together would be to keep to-do lists to follow and (most importantly), to stop procrastinating all the time. December 13, 2013 at 9:26am

  • Zazie: I’ve never made resolutions, but I think this year I will – I feel I really need some! December 13, 2013 at 9:26am

  • Sandy Cain: What a generous giveaway! This is the true holiday spirit! I generally do not make New Year’s resolutions, but I do have one for 2014 – to shore up my self-esteem. I think it’s high time that I (try to) realize that, yes, I do have SOME value in this world, even though I’ve made some awful choices in the past! December 13, 2013 at 9:26am

  • Marsi: I never make resolutions because I figure if I need to change something about myself, there’s no time like the present to start. For me, the “fresh start” of a new year is in September anyway. Happy Holidays, Victoria! December 13, 2013 at 9:27am

  • Wendy R: My perfume resolution is to take the time to discern individual notes in the perfumes I wear. I usually just love the fragrance as a whole and how it changes as I wear it. I would like to work at picking out various notes over time. December 13, 2013 at 9:30am

  • Glen Swain: I don’t usually make resolutions for the New Year, but last year I resolved to “See the humour!” and it actually worked pretty well. So this year I think I’ll just refresh that one. December 13, 2013 at 9:32am

  • The Perfumed Veil: I don’t make New Year’s resolutions because: who needs another stressor in their lives?! December 13, 2013 at 9:33am

  • Kathryn: Thank you for the very generous draw and the fun of just thinking about it. I do make resolutions and they often work, but I never tell them since I think some of the energy dissipates in just saying the words. December 13, 2013 at 9:33am

  • Ekaterina: It would be good to start living life in full next year. To stop paying attention to little bothering things. To sleep more, to go to the gym:) December 13, 2013 at 9:34am

  • Fernando: No, I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. To get all theological for a moment, we all have too much Law and not enough Grace. I see New Year’s eve and day primarily as a small excuse to be happy and grateful. December 13, 2013 at 9:35am

  • Lynley: No, no resolutions. I try to change things in my life that need changing as they arise. December 13, 2013 at 9:36am

  • Sofia: I make the resolution to NOT make a resolution!
Each and every day, I awaken with thanks that I am granted to see the sun rise. I begin each day afresh, ever allowing good thoughts and good works to inspire me to live simply, well and wisely… so, if this is performed daily, who then requires ‘resolutions’… Just grant yourself the gift of happiness every day of your life! December 13, 2013 at 9:37am

  • Heather Hart: To be present and cherish every moment with my new baby and my three year old before I have to go back to work. To practice yoga and swim twice a week. To do nothing extra. December 13, 2013 at 9:37am

  • Lucas: Such a generous giveaway.
I don’t take New Year’s resolutions regarding my regular life but in 2014 I’d like to eat less sweets.

Perfumewise, not to buy a perfume before my birthday in late February. December 13, 2013 at 9:39am

  • Kristina: Not anymore! Whenever I did a New Year resolution in recent years it didn’t work out at all. Now I try to work on things when they happen! Lovely give-away, by the way! December 13, 2013 at 9:39am

  • Lana: What a nice giveaway!
    I don’t make New Year resolutions. But I do make a wish instead :) December 13, 2013 at 9:39am

  • Karen W: To go for more walks.
To finish knitting a sweater for my granddaughter.
To rescue a dog. Our old dog had to be put to sleep last year and I want a new companion.

Thank you for a generous giveaway! December 13, 2013 at 9:40am

    • MontrealGirl: How lovely and inspiring! Good luck! December 14, 2013 at 12:39pm

  • Josephine: My resolution is based on a George Balanchine quote: When a reporter wanted to interview ballerina Suzanne Farrell, Balanchine refused, saying, “You don’t ask a rose to explain itself.” I resolve to stop the voice in my head that constantly “explains” things (why did I say that, do that, screw that up, etc? Why did he say that, think that, etc?). There are a billion billion reasons why anything happens, too tangled to know or explain…. December 13, 2013 at 9:41am

  • Barcares: What a fantastic giveaway!
    Thank you for opportunity, Victoria!

Giving NY resolutions was never my type, but this year, I mean 2014, I exceptionnaly decided to do it – because if not a resolution, I do not know what would help.
So, it is to finally do something for myself once a week – being either yoga, either swimming, what would suit the mood best.

    Thanks anyway December 13, 2013 at 9:42am

  • Allison: I usually do make one resolution and for 2014 I intend to enjoy the smaller moments of my life more fully. Enjoy the holidays! December 13, 2013 at 9:44am

  • Elena: I don’t really make too many New Year’s Resolutions, but this year my husband and I are really trying to economize with an eye toward early retirement. It makes it easier to bypass the perfume counter with a concrete goal in mind! December 13, 2013 at 9:45am

  • Caroline: Wow, thank you for the opportunity.
I had a spray of Coromandel only yesterday. I also love No22 & Bois des Isles.

I do make NY resolutions – but tend to keep them to myself (as I’m generally not good at keeping them for longer than a day or so!)

Best wishes to everyone for xx December 13, 2013 at 9:45am

    • Suss: Smart to keep them to yourself. I shout it from the rooftops: that way my pride(and my friends) make sure I keep them! December 15, 2013 at 4:39pm

  • Julie Johnson: I do usually make resolutions. For 2014 I am thinking of resolving to read 100 books. It should be fun! December 13, 2013 at 9:53am

  • Sandra Levine: I always make a New Year’s resolution — usually to lose weight and in the past few years, I’ve kept it! December 13, 2013 at 9:55am

  • Deborah: I love goals however no longer call them resolutions. My goals involve building habits in key areas; this year, one of my habits will be daily writing December 13, 2013 at 10:00am

  • Susiebelle: I make fun resolutions that include a treat. I made it through another year so it’s a resolution and a reward. Examples: keep a neater wallet (and get a new wallet.) Brush hair more often (new brush and more hair salon appointments!) These are “take care of me” resolutions that I’ve kept up. Thanks so much for the giveaway! December 13, 2013 at 10:00am

  • Lily Fr: My New Year resolution: Read more books! December 13, 2013 at 10:02am

  • Lorrence: What a stunning opportunity and a fabulous gift! SO exciting! Each year I try to make an achievable resolution. This coming year I intend to commit to keeping in better touch with friends and to doing a complete edit of the makeup and fragrance drawers. Those last two will be tricky. December 13, 2013 at 10:03am

  • Nancysg: I have never been a big one for celebrating New Years, so new year resolutions are not part of my life either.

The draw is wonderful. I keep hoping to find the perfect Chanel Exclusif to love. December 13, 2013 at 10:04am

  • Nemo: I do make resolutions for the New Year (sometimes I make them for other times of the year as well). This year, one of my resolutions will be to give away/trade as much of my neglected perfume collection as possible :) Another resolution is to get myself some more SL Chergui! December 13, 2013 at 10:04am

  • Merlin: I can’t keep a resolution from one day to the next, so I don’t even try for a yearly one, lol! December 13, 2013 at 10:09am

  • Lora: I’ve never really made New Year resolutions.
But I do strive to be more humble, thankful, and giving with each passing year.
Thank you for the giveaway! December 13, 2013 at 10:09am

  • kal: Thanks for the chance to win this Victoria. Yes, I do have a new year’s resolution, and that is to do the things I want to do without listening to my inner negative judges… December 13, 2013 at 10:11am

  • NeenaJ: I don’t really make resolutions anymore as I find that it’s quite depressing come March to realize I haven’t made any head way! I’d rather reflect on the events of the previous year and how they have changed me/my life for good or bad and what I would wish for the coming year. Thank you for the lovely giveaway! December 13, 2013 at 10:13am

  • Laurinha: Thanks for the draw!

My favourite New Year’s resolution would be not to make any, but if I have to, I will resolve to stress less and be more relaxed in all that I do.
    Zen rules!

    ^_^ December 13, 2013 at 10:14am

  • Evelyn: Each year I make resolutions in my mind. This year’s will be to get out of my “safe zone” professionally. In other words, blast past the inertia and security of the known world by aiming for a new job that scares me a little.

If I get that new job, I will celebrate by ordering a bottle of Ormonde Jayne Woman.

Wish me luck! (And in turn, I hope that everyone achieves what they wish for in 2014) December 13, 2013 at 10:17am

  • Clothilde: Sadly, my New Year resolution is… to buy less perfumes! I’ve been spending a lot on it because I like to own the actual bottle when I really love a fragrance (which happens often), but I need to save money in order to move apartment – and then have more room for more new perfumes!
Maybe it should rather consist on spending my money more wisely, and make presents to my loved ones instead of spoiling myself.
Thank you for this giveaway Victoria! December 13, 2013 at 10:18am

  • Phyllis Iervello: I hadn’t made a New Year’s resolution in a long time but last year I made two–one to try to be more on time instead of always being 5-7 minutes late, and two, to get more sleep. I have done fairly well with being more on time, but have failed miserably at getting more sleep. It is not that I can’t sleep–it’s that I stay up much too late when I have to get up at 6:00 a.m. every morning. I will try to do better in 2014. Thanks for the draw! December 13, 2013 at 10:21am

  • Judy: I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. Too much pressure for this laid back Southerner. December 13, 2013 at 10:22am

  • AlliM: I usually don’t make resolutions. But this year I really need to get back to the gym. So, even though, this resolution has been worn out by now, its the one one I’ll be striving for in 2014. December 13, 2013 at 10:24am

  • Gigi: My heart stopped for a moment when I saw this, thank you so much for the chance at these beauties!

I do have a resolution for 2014…to learn a new skill just for fun. Take a sketch class, or Chinese language, pottery… December 13, 2013 at 10:24am

  • Amer: It is a recurring theme in my case: tie up loose ends and move to a different continent in search of a better future… haven’t done it so far.

I so wish I win this time, I haven’t tried any of les Exclusifs! December 13, 2013 at 10:26am

  • Amanda Santana: Don’t usually do New Years resolutions. But I’ve become obsessed with collecting classic perfumes, so my resolution is to hunt garage sales and find hidden gems! December 13, 2013 at 10:30am

  • Panna: I don’t typically make resolutions because they few I’ve made I’ve never been able to keep, haha!

Thanks for the giveaway! December 13, 2013 at 10:32am

  • Mary K: I do usually make a New Year’s resolution. It makes the new year feel like I’m starting it with a fresh new plan of action for something. My resolution for 2014 is to try and be better organized in all areas of my life. December 13, 2013 at 10:37am

  • Vivien: It’s years since I’ve made New Years resolutions, but now you’ve made me think: perhaps it would be a good idea, to make a few attainable ones, beginning the year with a few projects.
Thank you for your kind giveaway …
and a very happy Christmas and New Year to you! December 13, 2013 at 10:41am

  • Luanne: Yes, I make New Year resolutions, and love the idea of new beginnings. For 2014 I desire to live with more courage, not allowing fear to keep me in the shadows.

Thank you, Victoria, for this wonderful drawing and for the beauty you bring to our world. Have a lovely Holiday season! December 13, 2013 at 10:43am

  • Lori L: Yes, it’s always something to improve me so that I can improve the world! This year it will be to become a vegan to help save the planet and improve my overhaul health! December 13, 2013 at 10:48am

  • Carla M: I used to make resolutions every year but I haven’t done it for ages. Interestingly though, a work colleague asked me to do a presentation in January on personal goal setting, so I guess I will be revisiting the issue soon! December 13, 2013 at 10:49am

  • Lizzy: No resolutions but each New Year I try to “clean the slate” so to speak and let go of the old resentments, little disappointments, and petty disagreements/misunderstandings that may have accumulated throughout the previous year so that I have the mental/emotional energy to focus on anything I would like to accomplish during the new year. December 13, 2013 at 10:54am

  • Stephanie: What a great giveaway, thanks!

I don’t really make resolutions, but I would like to keep up with the jogging that I started doing this year.

    Happy holidays! December 13, 2013 at 10:54am

  • Karen: What a generous gift you are giving, thank you :)
New Years resolution would be to practise what I ‘preach’-live simply, slow down and learn to breathe. Xx December 13, 2013 at 10:57am

  • Jan Last: Every year I make the same resolution, increase my fun and reduce my work load. Sometimes it actually works! I love Lizzy’s idea of cleaning the slate and will add that to my thinking process. Thanks so much for the giveaway! Happy Holidays, all! December 13, 2013 at 11:00am

  • Theresa: No, I don’t make New Year’s resolutions – I don’t like to follow conventions! however, I wouldn’t stop myself from making a resolution at other times of year. When I’m ready, I will commit, and when I commit, I will act! December 13, 2013 at 11:01am

  • Tomate Farcie: No resolutions for me. I try to live in the moment and make the best decisions for me.
Thanks for a lovely giveaway and happy holidays to all! December 13, 2013 at 11:02am

  • J: In general I don’t make New Years resolutions, but this year I will, I think, because the next year is going to be bringing some major changes to my life whether I like it or not. Unfortunately I can’t share, though, because I don’t want to jinx them! :) December 13, 2013 at 11:05am

  • Cybele: so excited about this draw! I love my Chanel…
I might not have major resolutions but I love the days between the years for letting the year go pass and clarify my goals. December 13, 2013 at 11:10am

  • Hanh: Do you make New Year resolutions? Sometimes, but not always (since I never follow any plan)

If so, what resolution would you make for 2014? I’m trying to change my life style, such as getting off the internet and sleep early : ) December 13, 2013 at 11:12am

  • Tilia: No, I do not make New Year resolutions. I know I will not be able to follow through on them. And anyway, if you want to change something in your life, why wait till the end of the year?
Thank you for the giveaway. December 13, 2013 at 11:16am

  • Ferris: I hate New Years resolutions because they never last more than 2 months if that. The only New Years resolution I can make this upcoming year is to smell and refine my nose on even more perfumes especially the older classics, hopefully more vintage gems ! Now that’s a resolution I can sure keep! December 13, 2013 at 11:19am

  • Pamela: My 2014 resolution is to slow down and enjoy life to its fullest :-) December 13, 2013 at 11:29am

  • Jamie Elizabeth: I resolve to wear more yellow! December 13, 2013 at 11:31am

    • MontrealGirl: Love it! Yellow is such a cheery colour. I tend to wear black and grey and I’ve been trying to push myself to wear more colour! Have fun! December 14, 2013 at 12:44pm

  • Em: My resolution is to consistently attend or do yoga and run, even with my crazy travel schedule. December 13, 2013 at 11:32am

  • The Smelly Vagabond: I don’t make New Year’s resolutions because I know I’ll just end up breaking them and feeling bad about them! December 13, 2013 at 11:33am

  • Esperanza: Thank you for the draw, Victoria. Very generous. I do not make new year resolutions any more if so it would be to buy less perfume and downsize my collection a bit more. December 13, 2013 at 11:33am

  • Karen Strickholm: Sometimes I make New Year’s Resolutions, and sometimes I don’t. This year, I have resolved to have more fun with friends in 2014. I’ve been impaired physically for the past two years, and it’s time to get OUT there!!!

Also, sometimes I invent a “rallying cry” for the year. This year, it is “Have Fun!!!” That helps keep it alive all year. December 13, 2013 at 11:34am

  • nastja: Oh, les Exclusifs, sigh, so glorious, so out of my price range, so what a lovely giveaway, thank you! I’ve been obsessed with Coromandel and Bois des Iles this time of year. Resolutions? Same always: worry less, live more. December 13, 2013 at 11:35am

  • Janet in California: I think the new year is a time for reflection of life goals and how the path is developing. Resolutions sound too structered. Why set yourself up for failure?

Thank you for the wonderful giveaway! December 13, 2013 at 11:37am

  • Tim: Every day contains a million possibilities, so how can you make a plan for 365 of them? December 13, 2013 at 11:38am

  • kulsum khaliqi: hi, I like your giveaway idea, I often do have new year resolutions which I don’t stick to unfortunately, anyways this yr. I plan on losing my pregnancy weight since 2yrs. I plan on sticking to this one. December 13, 2013 at 11:40am

  • marcella hoekstra: oh Santa! Please, I have been soooooo good this year! ;) mmmm delicious Chanel. xo December 13, 2013 at 11:41am

  • Thai: Thanks so much V for another giveaway!
No I don’t make resolution… ok I made it once in 2013, promising that I would not buy any more perfume. Obviously, I failed :D December 13, 2013 at 11:42am

  • Di: I make resolutions on the religious new year, rather than on January 1, 2013. On January 1, 2014, my primary resolution is likely to be to stay off the road so as to avoid drunk drivers. If I don’t have to go into work, I will try to spend time on house cleaning and needlework. December 13, 2013 at 11:42am

  • YuliyaFe: New Year’s Eve is magical. As a family we go through our “happy times box” to recollect all wonderful memories of what happened in the past year and then we write two lists – one of the things we want to be rid of and the other of the things we want to happen. The first list gets burnt and the second is sealed in a self addressed envelope to be opened mid year as a reminder. No resolutions as such, just focusing on good things and counting blessings December 13, 2013 at 11:43am

  • Lynley: I always use the occasion if new year to resolve to be a kinder person, to myself, to my friends and family, to complete strangers and Mother Earth – it feeds us all December 13, 2013 at 11:45am

  • maja: Thank you for the giveaway, Victoria. I love making resolutions but usually fail. :) I’d like to run a half marathon in 2014. I would also like to start going to bed early. My two resolutions might be connected :) December 13, 2013 at 11:47am

  • Insensé: No new year resolutions here!
My only concern will be to pick my perfume for the first day of new year :) December 13, 2013 at 11:47am

  • Ana: I always make new year resolutions, last year was to learn to swim, but this year i haven’t chosen yet. Thank you for the giveway December 13, 2013 at 11:50am

  • Lee: Depending on what kind of year I have had, sometimes I do (or don’t).
If it has been a great year and want more of it, I try my best to stay healthy, happy and give as much love as is possible to the people in my life. If it has been a bad time, then I try to dig deep and look for internal changes I can and should be making… You can’t change people or environments, but we are forever evolving! December 13, 2013 at 11:51am

  • Boryana Desheva: I make Christmas resolutions and work hard to make them happen. Usually works :) Happy holidays to all fellow perfume lovers xxxx December 13, 2013 at 11:52am

  • Silvia Park: Silvia: I am stay at home mum, have 2 lovely children and though life at home is extremly rewarding I would love to do something that its not related to practicality but is more from soul craving, so I decided for 2014 to follow my passion and start a course at the university for advanced drawing & painting. It means a lot to me… December 13, 2013 at 11:55am

  • Snowyowl: Thanks kindly for the great giveaway, I want to try all those. Love you and this blog! I found you approximately a year ago and read you every day, I feel richer and rewarded for doing so.

I try to take a Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind approach to looking at each moment as a chance for renewal so NY or not, I attempt to make positive choices for myself and practice compassion if this doesn’t always happen. Cheers to you, Victoria! December 13, 2013 at 11:57am

  • Moira: I have learned to love myself enough that I don’t make sweeping resolutions that inevitably end in disappointment! Maybe learn something new, that would be great.

    No 22!!!!!! YES! December 13, 2013 at 11:58am

  • Karin: My perfume resolution for 2014 is to buy only perfumes I really want and have thoroughly tested….! Happy holidays everyone! December 13, 2013 at 12:01pm

  • AromaX: Great give-away! Thanks for the opportunity!

Well, I was making the New-Year resolutions, but found out that I was too enthusiast about them. They were a bit unrealistic and not easy to gain. So I stopped. May be I try it this year again, will see closer to the New Year’s Eve. Not sure what it be yet, but the resolution I am making right now is – NO hard to achieve resolutions! ;) December 13, 2013 at 12:04pm

  • Katrin: I used to make New Year’s resolutions, but not anymore. Now any changes I want to make aren’t saved for just one day a year. It’s as I think of them.

I do like Karin’s thought though, about only buying perfumes I really want and test! December 13, 2013 at 12:05pm

  • Carmen: One resolution will be to be more present and less multi-tasking. If I’m watching TV, I will watch TV and not watch TV and scour Ebay. If I’m playing with my daughter I will leave my phone out of the vicinity. If I go for a walk I will leave the earbuds at home and listen to my surroundings.

Thanks for the chance and Happy Holidays. December 13, 2013 at 12:06pm

    • MontrealGirl: Sounds perfect! December 14, 2013 at 12:47pm

  • Meggie: I reluctantly made a New Year’s Resolution for 2013, and have not fulfilled it (it was related to a creative project I’ve been working on for a while, a “get this completed by xxx” kind of thing”). For 2014, I have resolved to forgive myself and work diligently every day, instead of trying to force a deadline. December 13, 2013 at 12:07pm

  • Karen: Yes I make new year resolutions. This year my resolution is return to yoga and pilates seriously. December 13, 2013 at 12:08pm

  • ula: I think I’ve never made any New Year’s Eve resolutions – I know myself all too well to know that I wouldn’t keep them. But if I had to, it would be resuming running and less impulse buying!
    Happy holidays December 13, 2013 at 12:10pm

  • Jane Elisabeth: I´ve stopped making New Year´s resolutions. They only last 3 weeks! I did make a middle of the year resolution: only buy perfume that I LOVE, not just like.
Thanks for the great giveaway! December 13, 2013 at 12:10pm

  • Graham Murray: I probably make at least one New Year resolution every year, but have forgotten it /them by January 1. In 2014 I’m resolved to be good, after being so bad in 2013! December 13, 2013 at 12:10pm

  • Stacey: Yes – this year I am resolving to write in a gratitude journal. I know it sounds kinda corny, but with all the rushing around I do all day at my job, I want to make sure I take a minute to remember how fortunate I am – even when it doesn’t feel like it! December 13, 2013 at 12:12pm

  • OlgaJ: Oh wow! I really would love to try them!

    Do I make resolutions?
Thinking about it… Not a real resolution.
It is more like a secret wish which I make when the clock strikes 12…

    Does it work? Sometimes :-)
It’s a tradition so it is nice to believe at the very start of the year that it will! December 13, 2013 at 12:14pm

  • King: Thanks for the draw. My resolution for 2014 is to spend less on perfume.. December 13, 2013 at 12:14pm

  • Lilly: I don’t make New Year resolutions. I don’t feel the stirrings of new beginnings at this time of year, which is just the dead of winter – for me more a time of consolidation than change. I feel the need for new resolutions when the seasons turn – at the start of spring, and especially at start of autumn – with that exciting “back to school” feel. December 13, 2013 at 12:15pm

  • Winona: My resolution is to be more grateful, conscious, and kind. However I would be thrilled to bit to try these Chanel Les Exclusifs samples!! December 13, 2013 at 12:16pm

  • DIANA: I see each new year and new day as a chance to begin anew with a little more wisdom than before.

Wishing all a 2014 filled with good scents and good sense! December 13, 2013 at 12:16pm

    • MontrealGirl: love your wish! December 14, 2013 at 11:41am

  • Cheryl: What a fabulous giveaway! Thank you.

Anyway, resolutions…I tend not to make New Year’s resolutions, but I’ve made them in the past with middling success. This year, I think I’ll try making one- I think it will be to clamp down on my procrastination habit, which occasionally hinders me as a student.

Sort of ironic to make a New Year’s resolution to stop procrastinating, isn’t it? “I’ll stop procrastinating…starting January first!” Ha! December 13, 2013 at 12:19pm

  • Foxbins: I make resolutions that last about 2 weeks. This year I want to gain more upper-body strength so I’ll be in the gym from Jan 1-15. After that, probably not. Thanks for the draw! December 13, 2013 at 12:24pm

  • missyl: I am so excited about this draw! Thanks! I do make resolutions~ I clear my plate emotionally, so to speak, and I ask myself in my wildest dreams what I’d like to accomplish, or change. I choose one in each of my important areas; physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. Sometimes its a skill, sometimes its informational, sometimes its a schedule change up so I can be with people I love more, or take care of something I really need to.. I tell myself, its ok to get done what you can- just enjoy the change! : ) Blessed Christmas season to y’all! December 13, 2013 at 12:28pm

  • Christina: I don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but I do set goals. Fun ones, like: eat more chocolate in 2014. December 13, 2013 at 12:36pm

  • Carolyn: I don’t do resolutions as they really are just ways of setting ourselves up for failure, shame/guilt, etc. I like to think of things that are truly inherent to enjoying a more fulfilling life (even when there are “oh ****” moments). Such as being kinder to myself, being more available for my daughter, continue to be compassionate to others, enjoy nature, etc. I find some intents that are work related, family, etc.

The lose weight, buy car, get man, do exercise program, etc. are so geared towards what other people think of us; not what we believe of ourselves and who we really are. I would love to have a splendid relationship with my daughter than look like whomever is gracing the latest magazines :)

Of course there are items that are less esoteric such as investigate local contractors for new gutters, explore paint colors for my daughter’s room, etc.

I try to revisit my intentions periodically since every day is always a new beginning and some intents change, some are fulfilled, etc.

Of course I do have my material intents; get more fragrances for one…LOL ;) December 13, 2013 at 12:38pm

  • Susan: I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. They’re more like weekly resolutions-sometimes daily! One day at a time! December 13, 2013 at 12:38pm

  • Anna: I used to make New Year’s resolutions. Unfortunately, with impending age, I go to sleep too early on New Year’s Eve to continue making them! December 13, 2013 at 12:42pm

  • Guido: My new year resolution is to buy one more of the Exclusief from Chanel, I just bought n.22!
Would love to win the minis. December 13, 2013 at 12:45pm

  • Daisy: I usually don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but I did last year and am very proud to say that I stuck with it! Mine was, “Be comfortable wearing bright red lipstick.”

    And now I am :-)

Thank you for the wonderful draw, Victoria! December 13, 2013 at 12:50pm

    • MontrealGirl: Good resolution! Love it! December 14, 2013 at 11:43am

  • rosetta lenton: Thanks for your wonderful generosity, and to answer your question…
It has been MANY years since my last resolution.
I just never kept them, so there was no point.
Like others here have said though, I aim to keep my life on track day by day.
With love and smiles December 13, 2013 at 12:50pm

  • Wan Wan Liu: My New Year Resolution for 2014 is to work hard and pursue my biggest passion: Perfumery. :) December 13, 2013 at 12:51pm

  • marijana: I love, love, love this giveaway. How generous of you! Usually I do make New Year resolutions. As a typical Virgo, I love analysis ( of what could have been better this year) and planning :) I love every fresh start, first day on a new job, each new year, new day. Somehow it’s easier to make a change starting from some exact point or day and what could be better than first day of New Year. Some of my New year resolutions were: to workout on regular basis, not to stress too much about work etc. When it comes to perfumes, one of my New Year resolutions was to try to stop with blind buys and wear one perfume for a month or longer, for example for days in the office ( another one for evening or weekends) and I am much more satisfied then when I changed them each day. Now my definite New Year resolution is to spend more quality time with my 2-year old son and to start pilates classes again. The first one is a must! December 13, 2013 at 12:51pm

  • Jennifer Smith: Hi thank you for having this draw!
I don’t do New year’s Resoloutions -unless you count the one I’ve claimed the past few years-No more New Year’s resolutions,I’ve been keeping that one pretty well. December 13, 2013 at 12:52pm

  • mridula: I don’t make New Years resolutions. The most success I had with resolutions was the year I gave up yelling t my kids for lent. It was a good resolution and worked well for the months I kept to it. This is such a good draw. Thank you for offering the chance. December 13, 2013 at 12:54pm

  • wefadetogray: I do make New Years resolution, however, and this is the very embarrassing part, I have never, not even once, accomplished what I have resolved myself to do. Most of the time my resolutions involve exercising which is probably one of the things I hate the most. Another recurrent resolution is to deal, emotionally, with certain things I should face, yet the year elapses and I leave those things in latency. This New Year my resolution is to enjoy my family more. I havent seen them since 2011. I hope things work out for me so I can travel to the end of the world to see my loved ones. No more exercising resolutions because it is not going to happen. I am a couch potato. I like to be reclined, smelling wonderful! Thanks for this incredible giveaway! December 13, 2013 at 12:56pm

  • Erica: What an amazing giveaway!! I would be ecstatic to try any of these!! Happiest Holiday Wishes to everyone <3 December 13, 2013 at 12:57pm

  • Monica: Thank you Victoria for the wonderful givaway.
My New Year’s resolutions is to reduce the amount of chocolates that I eat. I am a crazy chocolate lover and sometimes I feel that I indulge myself too much in this pleasure. Happy Holidays! December 13, 2013 at 12:58pm

  • Belle Yang: This year I am making a resolution:
No more cowardly weeping over whether I can get my fourth adult nonfiction published.

In the previous years, I’ve not felt the need to be resolved to do anything. I just did it. December 13, 2013 at 12:58pm

  • helical gnome: No, I don’t like to make resolutions for New Year mainly because they create anxiety and a feel of unfulfillment in me. I just feel is important to tackle things as they come. I strive to be pragmatic every day about the things I need or want to do. Now, shedding some pounds wouldn’t be a bad resolutions for 2014 :)
    Thanks! December 13, 2013 at 1:00pm

  • Delacey Tedesco: Oh, I would love to try these! I do make New Year’s resolutions, but I’ve been a student for so long that in my head, the new year starts in September. For several years now, it’s been the same resolution: finish my dissertation this year. I wouldn’t say I break the resolution, but I also have yet to achieve it. Maybe I should spend more time writing and less time on perfume blogs ;) Best wishes everyone! December 13, 2013 at 1:02pm

  • Dee: I do make a resolution that’s more like a focus for the whole year. One year we were having money trouble, so it was the Year of Gettin’ Paid. Another year was the Year of the Career. We eat foods on New Years to represent our goal, and we repeat our year’s motto whenever we need to make a decision. It actually works! So, this year we’re working on making our family more peaceful, so 2014 is going to be the Year of Good Cheer! There’s something so powerful about having a motto for the family. December 13, 2013 at 1:04pm

  • xtopher: I used to write down in a small piece of paper, one resolution for every New Year. I found the little paper from last year and, to my dismay, I did not even remember to think about that issue. So this year, I wont be making any more resolutions, at least not in writing. I want to get a better job this 2014. I am working too much, getting very little remuneration, and enjoying no time with my wife. So I guess this is my resolution for this forthcoming year. Am I asking too much? I think not. I am a hard worker.
I would love to try les exclusifs. Thanks! December 13, 2013 at 1:04pm

  • Carla: Thank you, I don’t know these Chanels. I make lots of resolutions, but I guess not seriously, because they are all near impossible to keep. After deliberately spending the $1000 I got from another person’s insurance company for the dent they put in my car (I’d rather smell beautifully and drive with a dented car) maybe I should resolve to have a perfume budget next year. December 13, 2013 at 1:09pm

  • Karina: To take more risks. To wear more Chanel perfumes :-) December 13, 2013 at 1:17pm

  • Chi Nguyen: Thanks V for giving us a chance to have those Chanel Les Exclusifs samples!
About your question, I used to make New Year resolutions and back then I had thought that it was quite fun to note down what I wanted to do/achieve in the next year. I stopped doing it because I realized my resolutions were pretty much “recycled” every single year, LOL.We all know the reason though, haha
If I wanna make any New Year resolution for 2014 then it would be: Enjoy every day that I’m living.
    That’s it!
Thanks again and Happy Holidays! December 13, 2013 at 1:26pm

  • Lindaloo: I don’t make New Year’s resolutions anymore — too many February’s spent regretting the “shoulds” that had gone by the wayside. That said, I am making concrete plans for resuming regular mindfulness meditation.
Thanks for the generous giveaway. I like Chanel but have not ventured into Les Exclusifs. December 13, 2013 at 1:30pm

  • Tatiana: I no longer make New Year’s resolutions. My DH lives every day of his life with purpose and discipline and I try to emulate him as much as possible on a day to day basis. Now that my daughter is an adult (really? How did that happen?) and I see that she is so much like him, I realize how much I fall short. I wake up and resolve to try and be a bit better, a bit improved every day. So it’s more like a daily resolution. December 13, 2013 at 1:31pm

  • ellenb: thank you for this generous and very special give away! I would love to get acquainted with some of the Chanel les Exclusifs! My new year’s resolution started in December — to clear my desk of all unfinished projects! Starting in January, I’m expanding my business with a blog, more web presence and classes. I’m excited! December 13, 2013 at 1:34pm

  • breathesgelatin: “Do you make New Year resolutions? If so, what resolution would you make for 2014?”

I don’t really make New Year resolutions, exactly. Mine for this year is basically the same as last year: exercise more, and continue getting my finances in order, paying off some debt so I can start saving for a mortgage payment! December 13, 2013 at 1:35pm

  • Domestic Goblin: “Do you make New Year resolutions? If so, what resolution would you make for 2014?”

Yes I do make New Year resolutions. As a non-smoker, I used to say my New Year resolution was to give up smoking, which means I would at least succeed! ;)

On a more serious note, for 2014, I hope to be a better person, mentally, physically and spiritually.

    :) December 13, 2013 at 1:35pm

  • Cheryl: My resolutions are to be a a better mom and wife. For me that means less computer, more cuddles. I want to speak more kindly each day. I plan to pray more and worry less. I resolve to live out my faith more than I have before. Why wait for New Years?! December 13, 2013 at 1:36pm

  • Hildegerd: “Do you make New Year resolutions? If so, what resolution would you make for 2014?”

Nope, I do not. I never make promises I can not keep. ;) December 13, 2013 at 1:36pm

  • Erica: My goal for 2014 is to have people, places and experiences that match the magic of my favorite perfumes. Should make for an amazing year. December 13, 2013 at 1:39pm

  • Erin: I don’t make specific resolutions anymore because when I did it was almost a guarantee that they wouldn’t happen… too much pressure!

Now I pick a one-word theme for the year that I would like to cultivate. For 2014 it is compassion.

Thanks for the generous giveaway! December 13, 2013 at 1:50pm

  • Galina: Oh, what a chance not to be missed )

Regarding resolutions – I won’t make a single promise, but it is more like a course of actions for the next year. ) And I try to follow it. December 13, 2013 at 1:52pm

  • ChristinaTB: More sport, less eating, much feelings and impressions everyday – these are my promises to myself every year:))

Happy Holidays, dear Victoria December 13, 2013 at 1:53pm

  • Elitsa: Nope, not anymore. Don’t wait for Monday, next month, next year. If I want something done, I get off my lazy bum and do it. The sooner the better ;)
    Thanks for this great giveaway!
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season, filled with much love, light and .. magical scents, of course ;) December 13, 2013 at 2:00pm

  • Isis: Oooohhh how exciting! I would love to try Chanel’s Les exclusifs, especially Beige and no. 22.

I am certainly making resolutions for 2014. The main one is to be happier this year. Another one is make sure my garden bursts with flowers this year, including some irisses as a tribute to one of my favorite perfume notes. I also want enormous amounts of sunflower and marigold. December 13, 2013 at 2:13pm

    • MontrealGirl: Great resolution regarding the flowers!!! Love the idea of the tribute to perfume notes. December 14, 2013 at 11:50am

    • Suss: Irises are beautiful! Good luck! December 15, 2013 at 4:42pm

  • Andrea Marie: What a nice thing to do! No, I do not typically make resolutions because I have more than one big thing to work on! I actually examine my heart/actions during my quiet time/Bible reading time daily. Then I try to follow through with apology where needed, beginning things that I need to get done, etc. In a sense, I have resolutions all of the time! And if it is something that needs accountability (ie: I will call dr to make appt, or I will work on writing more) I try to tell a friend so they can encourage (bug me!) about it. I like reading other people’s viewpoints on this; resolutions can be wonderful agents for change! December 13, 2013 at 2:14pm

  • Cynthia: I do make resolutions, because I like to “grade” myself at year’s end and see if I’ve been able to implement any significant changes. I’ve done pretty well with exercise and healthier eating, so this year it will be all about getting organized. I resemble the Peanuts character Pigpen, not in cleanliness, but in chaotic disorder. Time to get a handle on that.
Happy Christmas to all! December 13, 2013 at 2:15pm

  • Iliana: I try not to make New Year resolutions. I prefer to focus on plans I have now and start them asap if it’s possible, so when New Year is here, I already have things to do and achieve. I’m not a discipline person, so I have to do that just to push myself because of me and not just as an obligation because is New Year. I have seen that NY resolutions tend to fade away early february :P December 13, 2013 at 2:16pm

  • Phanie Constanda: My NY resolution would be to dare and try new things, escape my comfort zone and welcome challenges December 13, 2013 at 2:21pm

  • Maria B.: I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. I know myself too well to have any confidence in keeping it. However, if I were to make one for 2014, it would be to keep the weight I’ve lost recently off. As I write this, I’m thinking of a box of cookies that is sitting in the kitchen. December 13, 2013 at 2:33pm

  • Wes: New Year’s resolution: more perfume. December 13, 2013 at 2:42pm

  • meganinstmaxime: I make small NY resolutions in the hope that I may be able to keep them. This year I want to be fluent in French as I live in France and I really need to get better at this language. It’s probably still a big ask! But any progress will be welcomed. Thanks for the giveaway I finally tried a few of Les Exclusives recently and liked most of them. December 13, 2013 at 2:44pm

  • silverdust: No, no resolutions. It’s too depressing to fail.

Thanks for the draw. Winning this would be my equivalent to winning a trip to Paris! I’ve not only never sniffed something from this line — I’ve never seen a store within 200 miles that even carries them!

    Merry Christmas! December 13, 2013 at 2:46pm

  • Solanace: Nope. ever since I quit smoking, ten years ago, I’m kind of fine with myself. ;)

    Thank’s for the draw, V! December 13, 2013 at 2:47pm

  • Alex Andra: I used to, but now I don’t. Waiting till the 1st of January to start with a good plan is a waste of time, isn’t it? So i start them the moment I decide it’s time for a change :) December 13, 2013 at 2:48pm

  • G.: I don’t make any new year’s resolutions, but I do appreciate the idea behind it — looking at changing or improving things for ourselves, for others… Of course this can be done on a day-to-day basis as we go through the year. After all, every new day symbolises a fresh new start. December 13, 2013 at 3:02pm

  • Alessandra: OH MY GOD THIS GIVEAWAY IS IN LINE WITH MY INTENTION OF GETTING NO.22 SAMPLES AFTER FALLING IN LOVE WITH IT DEEPLY IN PARIS IN OCTOBER!

    Anyway. About resolutions.

I don’t normally have serious resolutions, the reason being that I find them a conundrum – how many times do we sort of manage to stop ourselves from achieving / doing something exactly because we fixed it as a resolution, so we feel like we have an obligation to respond to in a domain in which we subconsciously feel like we have, or should have, no obligations, I sometimes wonder? The answer is, usually, many times. I don’t think that resolutions and goals are the same thing, in fact, and I think that’s why we tend to fail in achieving the formers but might succeed in achieving the latters… but then again, perhaps it’s all just a matter of terminology, therefore of personal mind attitude. So, out of superstition, I prefer to call that an endeavour, something to be committed to, without giving to it – or rather, them – the characteristics we commonly associate to resolutions, as I find them stressful and a sabotage by constitution. Moreover, in my case, it’s something I tend to practice repeatedly during the year, and it often works! Haha.

Many things will require my fullest dedication in this forthcoming important year for my life.. but if I had to find one sentence to summarise them all, I’d say this: my aim for the new year is to continue breaking some of those fears that had made me stagnant for too long, continue having the optimist and active outlook I’ve been fighting hard to develop in myself, and finally create something for myself that’s all mine and that can make me feel proud of myself, and happier, instead of looking for serenity in external ‘providers’ life does not necessarily bless us with. Because I think that life does often bless us with a natural personal force and drive, and as I am determined to not let moroseness make me afraid to use all of my potential ever again, my mission for the imminent future is exactly this one: giving a new face to my life, creating a new me after some considerable darkness, and travelling for work doing something I feel passionate about and that makes me useful for others. The process started a little while ago, so it’s not that unrealistic… and I hope everything goes fine. I don’t like to think of this as resolution because resolutions generally get broken… and this one is NOT meant to be :) December 13, 2013 at 6:33pm

  • Jessica: I don’t typically make resolutions, but this year my resolution is to get my financial house in order so I can have the wedding if my dreams in 2015! :) December 13, 2013 at 6:40pm

  • Carol: Every year I make a resolution to be more organised but, given that I make it every year, you can see that I don’t every achieve it. However, I shall probably make the same resolution for 2014.

Thanks for the giveaway. December 13, 2013 at 6:44pm

  • Heather: New Years resolutions? No, not normally. What resolution would I make for 2014? If I had to make one, it would be to journey to a boutique that carries Les exclusifs de Chanel so I could experience them, which would be quite a trip, indeed :) December 13, 2013 at 7:11pm

  • Anne of Green Gables: Thanks for another generous and lovely giveaway, V. I make New Year’s resolutions every year and I’m so proud that I could achieve 2 out of 3 resolutions I made at the beginning of this year. One of my resolutions for next year would be to reduce procrastination. December 13, 2013 at 7:35pm

  • Ingeborg: I do not make New Year’s resolutions, but hope I will manage to make some changes in 2014 anyway. Would love to win the samples, these are perfumes I can only sample when abroad. December 13, 2013 at 7:40pm

  • Ashley Anstaett: Thanks for the lovely holiday giveaway! I try to make simple New Year’s Resolutions. Every year I always try to drink more water. This year, I am going to try and quit smoking. Then I have other resolutions that are a little sillier, like trying to learn the Tarot this year, things like that. December 13, 2013 at 7:41pm

    • MontrealGirl: Okay, the tarot goal is funny! Enjoy! December 14, 2013 at 12:10pm

  • Terry Jorgenson: I make resolutions, often without success. But this year my goal is to be patient with my students; I’m a high school English teacher and it’s like flogging a dinosaur. But they are great people in a changing world, and I believe I really can be patient with them if I quit thinking they need to love what I love. December 13, 2013 at 7:42pm

    • MontrealGirl: May the force be with you! :-) December 14, 2013 at 12:13pm

  • Das: Ha! All the lurkers (including me!) are compelled now to comment :)
No, I stopped making NY resolutions sometime in my 20′s. I think it’s a good exercise but I tend to make ‘do better’ resolutions any time of year. They include the usual self-improvement suspects, nothing very interesting :)
Thank you very much for the contest, Victoria! December 13, 2013 at 7:51pm

  • J.: Yes, but I make the same resolutions every other day, too — mostly, to be kind and honest and to live life fully. December 13, 2013 at 8:13pm

  • Sherry: I usually don’t make resolutions. Although, the one thing I focus on every year is trying to lose a little weight. In doing this, I make an effort to exercise on a regular basis and try to eat clean, healthy foods. Happy Holidays and thanks for having another giveaway. I love Chanel!! December 13, 2013 at 8:14pm

  • Claudia: My New Year’s resolution is made every day of the year! It’s getting out and walking! Not only for exercise, but fresh air and scenery too. December 13, 2013 at 8:17pm

    • MontrealGirl: That is one of mine too! I think it is better (and easier to keep) than having the goal of losing weight. December 14, 2013 at 12:20pm

  • Deborah Anne Oney (Annie): I’m a broken record, but each year I wish to be a better listener, to speak less and just listen.
Thank you for the chance at Les Exclusives. Absolutely LOVE the few I’ve tried.
Life is good! December 13, 2013 at 8:27pm

    • Suss: That’s a lovely resolution/aim in life. December 15, 2013 at 4:47pm

Thanks so much for the generous giveaway!!
Happy New Year! December 13, 2013 at 9:02pm

  • Liane: What a lovely idea for a giveaway. I not only make resolutions, I write them down, put the list away, and don’t look at it again until the year is nearly done, to see how much I’ve accomplished. December 13, 2013 at 9:35pm

  • LANIER SMITH: My new years resolution is always to try and make it to next New Years Eve! December 13, 2013 at 9:46pm

Thank you for the opportunity to win! December 13, 2013 at 10:08pm

  • Sowmya Dakshinamurti: Thank you for this generous giveaway!
I don’t make New Years resolutions – I just think about what I hope to do! Most of the time my husband and I just leap into whatever we want to experience – time and $ permitting. This goes for fragrances too. December 13, 2013 at 10:30pm

  • KJB: No, I try not to make NY resolutions anymore–although creating a perfume fund to save for one of my more expensive heart’s desires instead of purchasing several less-expensive fragrances may be worth a NY resolution…hmmm. December 13, 2013 at 10:37pm

  • Eastofeden: No New Years resolutions for this girl :) But would love the Chanel sampler. My mother passed away earlier this year and I found some a few bottles (No. 5, Chance & Coco Mademoiselle) and have been wearing them alot lately. This is a line that I have not spent much time with so it has been an adventure December 13, 2013 at 10:44pm

  • niche: Same resolution for 2014 as 2013: to accomplish tasks right away instead of procrastinating and freaking out last minute while trying to get it done. December 13, 2013 at 10:47pm

  • Joe: No. I don’t make resolutions. December 13, 2013 at 10:48pm

  • Liz K: No resolutions for me but I do always try to purge junk from my closets though. December 13, 2013 at 11:07pm

    • Liz K: I am very tired. Sorry for my amazingly redundant post December 13, 2013 at 11:12pm

      • Suss: So many people are talking about purging their closets…I wish all the readers of BdJ could have a huge clothes-swap! Anyway: I did go through my closet in the beginning of this year. A friend and I made the same resolution: To wear all items in our closets and ask yourselves: Do I wear this? And if no: then why? I ended up mending/tailoring some stuff, giving to charity and selling a few things and investing in good basics. It’s though and time-consuming to beging with but my closet is better for it. What I’m trying to say is: Good luck! You can do it! December 15, 2013 at 4:52pm

  • Alicia: No, I dont make resolutions , because the plans of men and mice…But I clarify my desires. There are several: I would like to see again the friends with whom I studied many years ago at the Ecole du Louvre. I would like to visit or revisit three cities, Prague, Kiev and St. Petersburg. I would like to smell the lavenders in my grand mother’s garden. Ah, les neiges d’antan… December 13, 2013 at 11:23pm

    • MontrealGirl: Sounds lovely and something to really look forward to! December 14, 2013 at 12:32pm

  • Annette: Oh gosh, I kinda feel…who doesn’t make them?

  • Irina: no resolution but a summing up of the past year and trying to learn from the experiences
thanks a lot for the draw December 14, 2013 at 12:43am

  • Sarah: Happy holidays, everyone. If I want or need to make changes, I try to gradually incorporate them into my life. Making an official event out of it feels like setting myself up for more of a challenge than is truly necessary. Thanks for the giveaway. :) December 14, 2013 at 1:29am

  • Julie F: I don’t make resolutions, but I do look back over the past year to see where I could do better in the future. Thanks for the draw. December 14, 2013 at 1:38am

  • Madelyn E: Dear V, Thank you for the lovely drawer. As I love Chanel Exclusifs , winning would be so nice.
I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions on January 1st. My resolutions come and go all throughout the year on any randon day. I do want to work on enjoying life in the present moment; not looking back with regret and not looking forward with anxious anticipation .
Have a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year !
    Madelyn54@aol.com December 14, 2013 at 2:07am

Yes, I do make yearly resolutions. For 2014 I plan to live more simply and to be less materialistic. (Except maybe when it comes to perfume :)) December 14, 2013 at 2:17am

  • taffyj: I used to make New Year’s resolutions, but then I’d get discouraged, especially with the weight loss one. For 2014, it’s not so much a resolution, as a goal, which is to get my selfie healthy. December 14, 2013 at 2:29am

  • Yvonne: Yes, I absolutely do make resolutions. Mostly I resolve to eat well, exercise a lot more (due to a car accident last year), be a better person and a better Mom for my kids. I try to create fun, loving and wonderful memories for my kids who are growing so fast! Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to receive your lovely gift of Chanel. I adore her one of a kind perfumes and would be the most blissfully happy luckiest girl to get selected! Thank you! December 14, 2013 at 3:39am

  • persik: I don’t normally make new years solutions but this year I really want to visit my family in Ukraine. I haven’t been there in almost seven years! I also HAVE to get my disaster of a wardrobe in order. Excess is the bane of me. December 14, 2013 at 3:47am

  • mysweetiepiepie: I do make them sometimes but have never found them to be very useful so I’ve skipped it the last few years.

Of course – THIS year I’m going to get skinny, rich, famous, etc… all within the course of two weeks :+) December 14, 2013 at 3:57am

  • Malgorzata Podgorska: Would love some samples of my favourite perfumes of all times, but living in Australia, I don’t expect someone to go to troubles to ship anything so far away, anyway thank you for sharing and youthfulness Victoria cheers Malgorzata December 14, 2013 at 5:10am

  • Kate Mancini: Love your blog and your elegance. A lovely prize for anyone!!! December 14, 2013 at 5:11am

  • Teresa: Rather than resolutions I pick a word to focus on for the year. Haven’t chosen one for 2014 yet! December 14, 2013 at 5:25am

  • Cindy Huang: Yes, I do. I’m starting an online boutique shop for little girls so my 2014 New Year resolution would be to get my business up running and spread the word out. I am a Chanel girl and own two bottles from that range. I’d love to try the rest! December 14, 2013 at 5:30am

  • Joaquim: New resolutions? Well, I feel that this will be a good year for start with vintage perfumery, vintage clothing and, well, vintage stuff in general (and find a nice job!)
Thank you for the draw December 14, 2013 at 6:36am

  • Souxie: Every year I make a New Years resolution – some I keep, some I break…this year’s is to find a suitable job and lose weight December 14, 2013 at 7:05am

  • Marina: I do make NY’s resolutions, but they seldom work. They say if you want to make God laugh tell him your plans:-)

  • Karen: Another generous giveaway! I make New Year goals (sounds easier than resolutions). This year they include learning more about Ancient Rome and Greece (and everything!), get my gardens organized, notice everyday acts of grace. December 14, 2013 at 7:23am

  • Katie: I make resolutions, but never in the form of an actual list on paper–just in my head. I continually resolve to be better about making decisions and 2014 might just be the year I make it happen! Thanks for the chance to win these samples, Victoria! Happy holidays! December 14, 2013 at 7:36am

  • Tina Marie Colombo: I don’t think I’ve ever made a New Resolution — although I have made resolutions at other, random times of the year. If I were to make a resolution this year, I’d be somewhat cliche. I think I need to start running again. (Thanks for the generous giveaway.) December 14, 2013 at 7:40am

  • Annemarie: No New Year resolutions for me. About once a year I look back, try to see what changed in my life, what makes me happy and what not, what I would like to be changed. Being grateful and formulating wishes works better for me than resolutions. December 14, 2013 at 9:15am

  • Melissa: I don’t make New Year’s resolutions (well, except for easy-to-achieve ones like “grow my hair long” or something), but I do tend to set some general goals for the year. It’s just sort of a time to reflect on what I accomplished in the past year and what I’d like to do in the year ahead. December 14, 2013 at 9:19am

  • Nancy A.: My New Year’s resolutions is same as always — I do not make them. However it will be a “7″ year, which is a time for introspection. It’s also my birth number transposed whatever that means. Gratitude is high on my list but that’s daily.
Thanks for the giveaway! December 14, 2013 at 9:44am

  • AnnieA: Sometimes yes but it depends on whether the previous resolution stuck. Will try again to eat more healthily. December 14, 2013 at 9:44am

  • Eva: Yes, I do. It is perfume related. I plan on testing and purchasing more Caron perfumes (new and vintage). I love this house. Also, to continue purchasing vintage perfumes, wearing them and ejoying them. December 14, 2013 at 10:05am

  • Belle: I do make New Year resolutions-generally about trying to lose weight and becoming more tidy. Of course, they’re never quite fulfilled, so they’re recited yearly. What about your resolutions, Victoria? December 14, 2013 at 10:07am

  • RHM: No, I don’t usually make New Years resolutions. I’ve never been able to keep them, so it became moot.

However, I do select a charity, usually one that has effected me or my family personally & support it throughout the year; 2013 was National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2014 will be Alzheimer’s Association. December 14, 2013 at 11:58am

I do make New Year’s resolutions, but don’t always manage to keep them. This year I hope to come closer to the kind of person I want myself to be. That includes becoming a better correspondent with my friends and family!

Happy holidays from the U.S. December 14, 2013 at 12:45pm

  • MontrealGirl: I used to think New Year’s resolutions were impossible to keep until I realized I just wasn’t setting myself up for success. With that epiphany I set myself the resolution last year of drinking more champagne and I’m happy to report that I did very well! This year’s will include: taking the time to listen to more music, taking more bubble baths (and finding great bubble bath products and scents) and learning to master by SLR camera. Happy holidays and wishing everyone a magical 2014! …and thanks for a great year of articles and fun challenges, Victoria! December 14, 2013 at 12:53pm

  • jenny: Thanks for putting visions of sugar plums parfume in my head!

Yes, I make New Years resolutions each year and use them to talk about with my children. I find it’s a nice opportunity to talk about personal goals and we find something we can support each other with. When my boys were young, they would add a new vegetable each year to their foods to each. To this day, now 20, they remember an talk about.

This has given me the idea to do something similar with perfume. I’m going to try and focus on a range of accords in the year. I want my ny resolution to somehow be around new hobby. Fingers crossed that I will be using Chanel as a starter.

Happy holidays and happy sniffing! December 14, 2013 at 1:17pm

  • Raissa: To keep running, to publish an article, to deepen and refine my teaching practice. December 14, 2013 at 1:27pm

  • Monster: I don’t make New Year’s resolutions because when I decide to do something I start immediately. Why wait? December 14, 2013 at 1:45pm

  • Kristine: Thank you for the lovely draw, Victoria! :) I usually do not make any strict NY resolutions, however, very often i dream what i could do or how my life could be during next year. For 2014 i wish i could spend more time with my family and my little daughter as well as educate myself in perfumery (i have prepared a list of books i’d love to read in 2014). December 14, 2013 at 2:06pm

  • loledinburg: For resolution I’ll try to recapture that essence of playfulness and innocence that kids have and apply that in a daily basis.
Thanks for the draw and have wonderful holidays everybody! December 14, 2013 at 2:06pm

  • Flora: How lovely of you to do this. Thank you.

I don’t normally make resolutions, as it is too easy to fail to keep them and then feel badly about it; however, my husband and I have determined to find the money in our budget for a weekly cleaner after the start of the new year, and we feel quite resolved about it. December 14, 2013 at 2:25pm

  • Aisha: I don’t make resolutions, but I do choose a theme word for the year. My theme word for 2013 is/was “Awake.” The word inspired me to keep my eyes open and really look for the beauty in everything — even the ugly. My word for 2012 was “Fortitude,” and my word for 2011 was “Act.” Not sure what I’ll make for 2014. Inspiration usually doesn’t strike until New Year’s Eve. December 14, 2013 at 2:43pm

  • Parfumista: Thank you for the draw!

  • Michele Scoleri: Perhaps a little corny, but I prefer creating an annual vision board each year. It helps me visualize what I want to achieve, my hopes and dreams for the year. And it’s a fun kid-like project in a grown-up world… December 14, 2013 at 2:48pm

  • Veronica: Yes, and boringly always to improve my health through exercise or diet. This year I should try something more interesting such as write a novel, learn a second language find a signature fragrance for myself, .. December 14, 2013 at 3:31pm

  • Gian: How kind of you to do this for your readers. I love this blog! I don’t really make New Year’s resolutions but I do make New Year’s wishes & hopes for myself. December 14, 2013 at 4:20pm

  • rose: I’m afraid I don’t make any New Year’s resolutions, there’s something about February that brings out my inner glutton/addict!

No, I wait till summer when there’s more to distract me.

I adore Boid des Iles, incredible that they can still make this authentically these days December 14, 2013 at 6:11pm

  • Victoria E.: No extras……….I must save every penny to travel to see my new grandbaby girl……my one and only Jasmine. I am going to enjoy teaching her all about being a lady and the love of fragrance…….especially Chanel. Victoria E. December 14, 2013 at 7:26pm

  • Jennifer Oleske: This year I am making a resolution to spend an hour a day doing something mentally stimulating and educational. I spend my day putting my brain to use for the benefit of my company, my kids and I often do not have the time or energy to do more than read. I will learn a new language , resume piano lessons, take an art class…. December 14, 2013 at 7:36pm

  • Nicole: I don’t make any because I never keep them! December 14, 2013 at 8:28pm

  • Erica Y: Yes! I know it is maybe silly but I try to choose an overarching theme for the year, and that is my resolution. The year 2013 was maybe over-filled, so I have resolved to make 2014 “The Year of the Judicious No.” December 14, 2013 at 8:42pm

  • Sasha: I never make new years resolution, if I want to change something, it has to be immediately otherwise I might forget! December 14, 2013 at 9:24pm

  • Bhama: I do, but usually end up not keeping them! In 2014 I will again promise myself that I will lose weight (ya, right!) but maybe this time I will add a couple of resolutions, that is more feasible for me! Thanks for the giveaway, Victoria. December 14, 2013 at 9:48pm

  • AlternativeAstrology: I do not make any New Year’s Resolutions. Rather than being specific, or “problem”/”solution” oriented, I meditate on my desires and dreams. These propel me to break any habit I desire. I was a smoker for eight (almost nine, or is it ten?) years, and all it took was stopping. Sure, I get nostalgic about smoking cigarettes when my coffee is emitting steam in the winter’s cold. When there is cold down to the marrow of my bones, when people breathe out fog, it’s tough to not cave in. Making something into a resolution makes the task seem tougher than it is, and so a higher probability of relapsing. Every year my resolution is simply to get clearer, and clearer to this picture of a dream I’ve always understood before knowing. December 14, 2013 at 9:58pm

  • David: I don’t make New Year’s resolutions as I find them mostly to be an old trendy tradition with people simply not keeping them. If you can’t make changes immediately, then they won’t happen. It just comes across like procrastinating for me! December 14, 2013 at 10:09pm

  • Carrie V.: I don’t usually make resolutions but I will this year. To fear less. I am a horrible worrywart!

Thank you for the giveaway! December 14, 2013 at 11:11pm

  • Val: I don’t do resolutions! December 15, 2013 at 12:50am

  • Canadianpetite: Thank you for your generosity!

Yes, every year I renew my resolution. Last year, I decided to identify clothing that I have not worn so I turned all the hangers. Now a year later, it is easier to clear my closet for breathing space. For 2014, I will continue the same trick but evaluate sooner (at the end of the season) and aim to have a quarter of my closet as empty space…so I can finally have easier access to my perfumes! December 15, 2013 at 1:34am

    • kuri: Oh, I like your resolution! I should try that – I am slowly culling out unused clothing, but it is a very very slow process – I need to speed it up. December 15, 2013 at 3:45am

  • nushechka: I don’t make New Year’s resolutions December 15, 2013 at 3:21am

  • kuri: Hrm, not sure I’m still in time for this? Oh, but Europe is about half a day behind me :)

I stopped making New Year’s resolutions when my resolutions didn’t change for a few years – as in I didn’t manage to fulfill any of them!

    They used to be:
    * exercise
    * learn to cook December 15, 2013 at 3:44am

  • Villette: I make New Year’s resolutions some years and not others. This year I am keeping it simple and achievable: I resolve to have a manicure once a week, every week. Perfect nails up the whole package, but somehow I never quite manage it… December 15, 2013 at 9:56am

  • Teresa: Thanks for the lovely giveaway! I’d given up on new year resolutions for many years, but for 2014 I have two very simple ones:
    1) to stop buying fragranced lip products since the smell always gets to me and I never wear them,
    2) to be in bed and sleeping by 11pm every night! December 15, 2013 at 10:35am

  • Ruta: New year resolutions?
    1. To buy new perfume only after one of the existing bottles is finished
    2. Make perfume testing notes
    3. Have at least 1 perfume- free day per week December 15, 2013 at 11:12am

  • Lean S: This is so generous of you! Thank you for the chance. I don’t usually set New Years resolutions, but the few times I have, they’ve always been along the lines of not procrastinating as much. December 15, 2013 at 12:05pm

  • Joanne: My resolution, apart from avoiding type 2 diabetes, is less clutter, more space. December 15, 2013 at 12:44pm

  • Sil: I don’t write a list of resolutions or anything like that, but I do try to better myself in some way, like exercise more and being more patient (though that one is more of a daily struggle) December 15, 2013 at 1:35pm

  • Ncmyers: For the past few years I’ve resolved to take stock and shed those activities, habits, and possessions that aren’t absolutely essential. I think just making that resolution is a step in the right direction! December 15, 2013 at 2:19pm

  • Lynne Marie: I make a huge list of New Years resolutions each year, check in on them quarterly and revise as I go along. It helps keep me focused on where I want to go and what I want to accomplish! December 15, 2013 at 2:19pm

  • Sara: Yes, I must confess that I always make New Year resolutions. So, in 2014 I’ll try not to be so lazy and to improve my cooking (specially focussing in traditional recipes such as learning how to make pesto sauce or a pumpkin pie).
Best Regards and Happy New Year!
    Sara December 15, 2013 at 2:28pm

  • Kandice: Thanks for the wonderful giveaway opportunity! Sometimes I make resolutions although they rarely work out for very long. Overall though, I just always try to be a good person and hope that the other things I want will work out in the end :-) December 15, 2013 at 3:09pm

  • Paola: Dear Victoria, thanK you so much for this opportunity.
It´s the first time I make a comment. I love the world of perfumes, fragrances since I was a girl, so I enjoy so much receiving your posts in my email.
This year I think I´m going to write a list with those things I would like to improve of myself, always with the intention of becoming not a perfect woman but try to give the best of me.
Wish you a Merry Christmas and an excellent 2014. December 15, 2013 at 4:27pm

  • Sofie: Hmmm, it looks like I’m too late, but I’ll give it a shot anyway, this is a lovely give-away.
I usually don’t make resolutions, not for real anyway. My 2014 resolution however, is getting organised in my life and house. With little steps each day (one drawer or task at a time). I’ve started doing this last month, and it’s amazing how much you can achieve with little steps! December 15, 2013 at 7:17pm

    • Sofie: Ooh, your blog is on NY-time, so maybe I’m still in time then :-) December 15, 2013 at 7:20pm

  • erry: I don’t make new year resolutions because if I want to change I can make that change any day, doesn’t need to wait for new year to come. But, I will make an exception for 2014, just to make my determination stronger. I want to be more altruistic, thinking less about what I want and more about others and I want to be more responsible towards my family and myself. December 15, 2013 at 8:00pm

  • Tena: I have a policy to use Resolutions as an opportunity to positively reinforce the changes I have already made ( along the lines of “I will continue to go to the gym 3 x a week in 2014″)

That way, I am ocusing on the steps I have taken and the fact I will not backslide December 15, 2013 at 8:10pm

  • Geneviève: I used to make new years resolutions, but as I never follow them through, I decided to stop doing it. Now, instead, I make small resolutions easiers to keep like, 2 months trial of something good for my health! Per example, last month, I’ve decided to stop eating chips for a complete month, and it worked.
Thank you for the contest! I love your blog! December 15, 2013 at 9:21pm

  • Hazel: I don’t usually make new year resolutions, but for next year I would like to start being

More healthier food choices. December 15, 2013 at 9:31pm

  • Amber: Thank you for offering this give away. This year I would like to commit to a quiet moment early in the morning every day before my kids wake. To think, pray and be filled before launching into the daily swirl! December 16, 2013 at 1:28am

  • joanne: What an awesome give away! I sometimes make New Year’s resolutions, but I like to put it in terms of working towards a goal rather than an abrupt change. In 2014 I would like to focus on cooking more and eating out less.

Good luck, everyone, and Happy Holidays!! December 16, 2013 at 2:36am

  • MaureenC: My NY resolutions are almost a ritual, that they are often the same as previous years really doesn’t matter! The reflection on the previous year that is part of the ritual is the important bit. December 16, 2013 at 2:44am

  • Fififi: For years my only NY resolution was to loose some weight and get into good shape, but since I accidentally found out about Paleo/Primal lifestyle principles (really recommend to anyone with the same problems!) this summer – I know there will not be any NY resolutions for long time :). Best wishes to anyone for the next Year! December 16, 2013 at 3:06am

  • Marvin: A new year starts at every moment. If I made new year resolutions for every waking moment of my life, I wouldn’t really be able live much, let alone achieve all those new year resolutions that I’d have concocted. So, no, I don’t. December 16, 2013 at 3:10am

  • sarah: yes, I do. My best (but not very successful) one ever was to become promiscuous. For 2014: Gaining back stable and predictable strength in my RSI-addled right arm. December 16, 2013 at 4:01am

  • Radmila: Hi! No i dont. But i do make a New Year’s wish – write it on a piece of paper i hide it. I am good at hiding it from myself :) to find it a few years later and check what came true.
    Thanks, Radmila December 16, 2013 at 4:36am

  • maysamassimo: I usually don’t make new year’s resolutions, but this year my resolution will be to go on with my diet and complete my weighting loss.
