Fragrance News: Agent Provocateur Ménage à Trois

Agent Provocateur second fragrance Ménage à Trois (classified as feminine) is about to debut in France in February of 2006. UK company famous for its sexy lingerie can be counted on for another ravishingly seductive scent. Definitely worth the wait, especially since the first eponymous fragrance combining rose, saffron and amber was rather interesting.

  • Robin: Escentual announced this as Manage a Trois, which at least gave me a good laugh. August 12, 2005 at 10:41am Reply

  • Marina: I don’t want to sound as a goody-two-shoes, because really I am not, but this name bothers me. I understand they wanted it sound risque and piquant and Parisienne, but… August 12, 2005 at 1:16pm Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: Another near tea spilling accident thanks to another Robin! It is just hilarious. I do not want to think about that type of managing though… August 12, 2005 at 12:08pm Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: I see what you mean. On the other hand, coming from Agent Provocateur, it is rather predictable. It is probably the reason I was not as surprised. I am curious about the fragrance, although the first one is just too rich for me to wear. There is nothing subtle about it. August 12, 2005 at 1:19pm Reply

  • Diane: R, what a typo! HA! August 12, 2005 at 6:27pm Reply

  • Anjali: I don’t know enough French to even understand the humor of that typo, but I still know that I’m now anxiously awaiting the release of this! I’m a huge fan of the original fragrance, and hopefully Agent Provocateur’s new release will live up to the standards of the first! August 13, 2005 at 12:13pm Reply

  • Katie: Yay! I’m quite looking forward to this one. Except for the part where I know it’ll just take forever to be able to get ahold of it in the US. Sigh. Oh well, I’m still looking forward to trying this one out. August 13, 2005 at 11:46am Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: Katie, I hope that it will be released in the States before spring. I am very curious about what it is going to be like.

Anjali, there are lots of interesting new releases–this one, Carnal Flowers, and Serge Lutens Borneo 1834. I am also looking forward to sampling Lalique Le Parfum. I think that the joke of “Manage a Trois” is that it just does not make sense. It makes me think of managing. Or three way managing, which… well, ok, I shall stop, or else authorities will make me apply under 18 not allowed rule! 🙂
