The newest fragrance from Christian Lacroix is in touch with the feminine fashions of the new season. Composed by Françoise Caron, it is based on rosewater and rose de mai from Grasse, with the top notes of green tangerine, freesia, rosewater; heart notes of orris, rose from Grasse, heliotrope, and base notes of tonka bean and patchouli. The bottle is inspired by vintage flacons.

Katie: This sounds so pretty. And I do hope this recent trend of such attention to detail on bottles continues. The juice is, of course, important, but a gorgeous flacon adds immesurably to the experience of getting ready in the morning.
Green tangerine and rose sounds wonderful. The only thing that sounds bad is the freesia: not because I don’t like that note, I do, but most freesias seem to last all of three seconds on me 🙁 September 13, 2005 at 3:21pm
BoisdeJasmin: Katie, I am also not thrilled about freesia, because it usually strikes me as very sharp (or rather the aromachemicals used to approximate it). I love the scent of real flowers though.
