Parislondres brings some exciting news from the Guerlain boutique. Eau d’Hegemonienne (originally created by Aimé Guerlain in 1890-91) will be out in April and it will be priced at 700 euros. Several reissues will also join the range: No 68 (ancient bottle design), Muguet (Limited Edition) at 130 euros, Habit Rouge (only 450 pieces) at 140 euros, Mayotte (reissue of Mahora) . L’Art et la Matiere collection, which already includes Cuir Beluga, Rose Barbare and Angelique Noire, will be expanded to include Bois d’Armenie, priced at 140 euros for 75ml. Finally, stunning green chypre Sous le Vent originally created in 1934 will also be available for 180 euros. Thanks to N. and Michel for this information. The new fragrances will be available in April-May.
Apparently, a new limited edition perfume will be included to the range, thus replacing Plus Que Jamais (a limited edition created for the reopenning of the flagship store). Those interested in pre-ordering would be able to call Francoise (33 145 62 52 57) at Guerlain boutique in Paris.

BoisdeJasmin: Michel, thank you for the information. I added it to the list. I hear that Mayotte is supposed to be based on frangipani, which sounds lovely. Please let me know if you get to smell it soon. March 10, 2006 at 3:27pm

BoisdeJasmin: Michel, thank you! I wonder why they decided to reissue Mahora, which was a big flop. Perhaps, it might be reformulated along the way. March 10, 2006 at 11:56pm

Diana: Hello
What does guerlain hegemonienne smell like?
I may have a chance to buy one at a vintage shop..it is a tall bottle sealed in a blou box.

Victoria: It’s a citrus cologne, but what makes it nice is a rich sweetness of vanilla and sandalwood in the base. A nice fragrance, and if you have a chance to buy it for a reasonable price, I would go for it. June 15, 2012 at 7:53am
