Tom Ford’s New Website

The American designer Tom Ford has launched his new website The website is created to reflect his aesthetic sensibilities, and I have spent some time browsing through the gorgeous photos of Tom Ford eyewear as well as the beauty line. Although Ford has collaborated with Estée Lauder on Youth Dew Amber Nude, his first fragrance under his own label is set to be launched in November. You can find more information on Black Orchid on the website, as well as the descriptions of the ancillary products. The website has just been launched, so the new information shall be added in stages. In the future, it will also serve as an online boutique for Tom Ford’s label. The spring 2007 shall see the introduction of 12 unisex fragrances under Ford’s name. (via WWD)

  • Elle: I’m really hopeful about Black Orchid, but I have reservations about the 12 scents he’s releasing in the spring. 12 just seems like 11 too many – more of an emphasis on quantity than quality. October 26, 2006 at 8:25am Reply

  • Tania: I love Tom Ford. But $600 for a half ounce? Brother, please. I don’t think I love my mother that much. October 26, 2006 at 9:55am Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: Elle, I also think that 12 is just too many, but perhaps they were developed over a period of time. I suppose that we shall see very soon. October 26, 2006 at 3:54pm Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: T, that is really outrageously expensive. It makes JAR seem reasonable. October 26, 2006 at 3:55pm Reply
