This month Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire has received a richer floral flanker, La Petite Robe Noire Modèle 2, created by Thierry Wasser under the creative direction of Sylvaine Delacourte. It includes notes of bergamot, lemon, galbanum, iris, orange blossom, marshmallow, white leather and musk. It has launched in Paris already and is going to be available from Bergdorf Goodman this month.

Marina: Pretty bottle, probably again wasted on so-so juice…:) February 3, 2011 at 3:10pm
Victoria: I love these classical Raymond Guerlain bottles, so pretty!
If the new Modele 2 is heavier on iris and orange blossom with a bright galbanum top, as it is described, I probably would like it much better than the first one. That one was too gourmand-sweet for my tastes. February 3, 2011 at 3:16pm
mals86: Marshmallow? MARSHMALLOW??
Gah. February 3, 2011 at 3:32pm
Victoria: LOL! French marshmallows smell of orange blossom, so we might still have a chance. :)) February 3, 2011 at 3:36pm
hongkongmom: yeah orange blossom marshmallows…yummmm…maybe we will be lucky and have a beautiful inexpensive guerlain to love!!!! February 3, 2011 at 10:45pm
Natalia: yeah.. that’s why they list them as separate notes…
PS i so wanted to love this thing. that name!!! February 4, 2011 at 12:26am
karin: Don’t think this will be inexpensive – isn’t it $150 for 50ml? On the other hand, I just tried Idylle EDT, and it’s nice for a light floral. Found 100ml for $70. February 4, 2011 at 8:02am
Victoria: I am reading the list of notes and craving orange blossom macarons! Laduree makes also absolutely wonderful orange blossom and rose scented marshmallows. February 4, 2011 at 9:05am
Victoria: Natasha, me too! The name is just wonderful. I will make a trip to Bergdorf to try it. February 4, 2011 at 9:06am
Victoria: Yes, that sounds about right. I keep thinking of it along the lines as others in the main collection, but it is technically a boutique exclusive.
Idylle is well priced, and it is a good quality fragrance. February 4, 2011 at 9:24am
