Prada Infusion de Rose : New Perfume

Infusion de rose

Chloé Rosebud is only one of several rose embellished perfumes that launch this spring. Another one is Prada Infusion de Rose. Created by perfumer Daniela Andrier, who is also responsible for Infusion d’Iris, Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger, Infusion de Tubéreuse and Infusion de Vétiver, the composition is reported to include notes of Turkish and Bulgarian rose, mandarin, peppermint, yerbamaté, and beeswax. Priced at $105, it is going to be available from Bergdorf Goodman this spring. via Vogue.com.

  • rosarita: As a rose lover I’m really looking forward to this, although Infusion d’Iris is the only one of the other Infusions that works well for me. February 19, 2011 at 10:03am Reply

  • Victoria: You wrote exactly what I was thinking! I only like Infusion d’Iris so far, but I am still looking forward to Infusion de Rose. I just love rose notes, whether rich or sheer. February 19, 2011 at 10:15am Reply

  • flittersniffer: I was going to say the exact same thing – none of the Infusions has moved me since d’Iris, and the orange one was frankly disagreeable – it had that furry orange squash (cordial) quality I get in Boss Orange – though the packaging was sublime! I will give this one a spin, though. Credit where credit is due for including a whimsically named note like yerbamaté! February 19, 2011 at 11:42am Reply

  • Victoria: Fleur d’Oranger was also my least favorite. It reminded me of a pale version of L’Heure Bleue, perhaps the intention, perhaps not.
I am not the one for fancy packaging, but this kind of austere, retro look gets me every single time. February 19, 2011 at 12:55pm Reply

  • orsi: What do you think of Bulgari Rose Essentiel? I used to really love it (in fact wore it for my wedding day), but lately I am not so fond of it, not sure why. I still think it is a lovely scent though.. February 21, 2011 at 2:22pm Reply

  • Victoria: You know, I was resmelling it and Bulgari Pour Femme at Sephora the other day, and it seems to me that both are a bit different. They are not as rich or diffusive as they used to be. I bought a tiny bottle of Pour Femme and compared it to my older version. Sure enough, the new one, though lovely, smells thinner.
Perhaps, that's what happened to Rose too. February 21, 2011 at 2:26pm Reply
