Laura Biagiotti Venezia Relaunch : Fragrance News

Venezia

Laura Biagiotti is relaunching its sumptuous oriental Venezia, which was originally introduced in 1992. The new version is reochestrated by Lucas Sieuzac and Michel Almairac, the original Venezia creator. The notes include ylang-ylang, blackcurrant buds, plum, jasmine, rose, osmanthus, sandalwood, vanilla, balsamic resins.

Laura Biagiotti’s VENEZIA is a fragrance capable of evoking a world of poetry and imagination, it is devoted to the most magical of cities, a place to be admired and to fall in love with. The perfume has an oriental character and fragrances reminiscent of vanilla, its rich mingling of nuances is glamorously opulent and seductive.”

Venezia is available as Eau de Parfum (25ml/38.50EUR and 50ml/50EUR) as well as shower gel and body lotion. Via Venezia by Laura Biagiotti and press release.

  • behemot: Nice! I will be able to finally smell it. Back in the 90″s all my relatives and friends in Poland wore Venezia and loved it!
I do not think it was so popular in the US though. January 6, 2012 at 8:02pm Reply

  • Victoria: I only worry that it will be different and more fruity based on the description and the comments of those who've smelled. It. I loved the original Venezia. January 6, 2012 at 8:13pm Reply

  • Rina: Is it sold anywhere else but their website? I’d like to try it first. I don’t buy scents blind anymore. Thanks!! January 7, 2012 at 2:46pm Reply

  • Victoria: Me too! The original was opulent, baroque even. January 7, 2012 at 1:14pm Reply

  • Victoria: I don't know, but since I don't buy blindly myself, I'm going to find out. I will update this post. January 7, 2012 at 3:05pm Reply

  • Lynn Morgan: Are they re-lauching it or re-formulating it? I ws a fan of both Venezia and Roma (especially the latter) but they never seemed to find mainstream popularity. For that matter, Laura Biagotti as a fashion designer never seemed to attract as much attention as she deserved. I’d love to smell them again and see how I feel about them now. I absolutely hate it when an old perfume gets re-mixed. Instead of changing the “juice” they should just update the image- new ad campaign, new model, new packaging- and allow new customers to discover and appreciate it along with the dedicated faithful. I hate what they have done with Chloe for example- not just the weak, anemic watered down scent, but also the ads with thatcreeepy actress Chloe Sevigny! January 9, 2012 at 5:00pm Reply

  • Jenny: Finally, after many years of looking, Venezia is back. (I actually saw and purchased it in Venice while on holiday recently so it was very appropriate). I have kept an old bottle with just a drop in just to keep smelling it every now and again. I love it!!! April 22, 2012 at 2:29pm Reply

  • Dawn: I absolutely loved the original and was gutted when it was discontinued. When I found it had been re-released I bought a bottle and will have to say I am very dissapointed. I opened the bottle expecting the waft of memories to come flooding back of what I was doing in years past when I was wearing it and was sadly let down. Its nothing like the original and I have to say I dont really like the new smell…… March 13, 2013 at 2:42pm Reply

  • renee: I sold perfume for Georgio of Beverly Hills in the 90s. I had just found Venezia and was giving my girlfriends samples when it disappeared. This must be similar to the 90s perfume as it has the same basic ingredients. I am also a fan of Casmir and Samsara. On the light side I wear Rose the One and 5th Avenue. • Victoria: It smells very different, though, frutier, sharper, less velvety in the drydown. I loved the original too. April 5, 2014 at 10:35am Reply

  • Julie: I just bought a bottle where I live in St Pete FL
I’m a bit disappointed. It doesn’t have that sultry, warm, exotic smell I remember.

I was do surprised to see the box on the shelf I just had to have it. I’m wondering what Roma smells like September 18, 2014 at 12:49am Reply
