Snow and Rubj

winter

Watching the dance of snowflakes outside my window, I wrap myself in Vero Profumo Rubj. I did not know that this heady blend of orange blossom, tuberose, moss and passion fruit would conjure hot tropical nights and salty kisses, but it is a perfect escapist fantasy on this cold day.

  • Victoria: It is beautiful and opulent (and quite animalic, so beware!) Have a great weekend! February 11, 2012 at 1:01pm Reply

  • Le Critique de Parfum: Shiseido did such a catastrophic job with IUNX. Olivia’s creations deserved so much better. February 11, 2012 at 2:52pm Reply

  • Victoria: That tiny shop is nothing next to the first store on rue de l'Universite. That place was magical! February 11, 2012 at 3:18pm Reply

  • Le Critique de Parfum: Indeed Victoria. Actually I think that IUNX is not part of Shiseido anymore, hence the corner at Hotel Costes.

When the first store opened, they were expecting people to come in droves, just for the sake of exclusivity. Basically no promotion whatsoever. February 12, 2012 at 9:50am Reply

  • Musette: March made me try Rubj – we were both stunned at how lovely it smells on me (Kiki doesn’t and Onda is so beautifully weird that it transcends skin chemistry, imo 🙂

    Rubj is just beautiful.

I just came back from a windy, very, very cold walk with El and the dogs. Settling down now to finish Julian Barnes’s novel(la) The Sense of an Ending.

    Happy Sunday!!

  • Victoria: March is the ultimate Rubj enabler, isn’t she? Rubj is so alluring, from all angles. I am savoring it so much that I am taking my time testing the other two perfumes.

  • Victoria: Launching a huge line like IUNX with no promotion was a mistake. I love L’Ether, but haven’t smelled it recently. My bottle is at least 5-6 years old. February 12, 2012 at 3:14pm Reply

  • Undina: I really enjoy Rubj in parfum concentration but EdP smells rather unpleasant on my skin which is sad taking into the account its price. Oh, well… 🙂 February 13, 2012 at 10:19pm Reply
