Guerlain Les Deserts d’Orient Perfume Collection : USA Launch

Guerlain’s Les Déserts d’Orient trio of Rose Nacrée du Désert, Encens Mythique d’Orient, and Songe d’Un Bois d’Été is now available at Bergdorf Goodman in New York.

A tribute to enchanting Arabia with three iconic creations that represent the Orient in all its original splendor… There has always been a beautiful love story, an undeniable and faithful bond, between Guerlain and the Orient. Superb compositions are the prestigious proof. With the creation of Shalimar (1925), Jacques Guerlain founded the great oriental olfactory family. As rounded as a waltz, it majestically combines the sweet, opiate notes of balms, precious woods and vanilla with flowers and exotic essences to embody the opulence of faraway horizons imbued with mystery… Thierry Wasser, Guerlain’s perfumer-creator, wanted to demonstrate this concept in his own way, with sumptuousness and freedom, while giving dazzling expression to the notes that make these lands an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

  • Elizabeth: Oh, I am intensely curious about these, especially the Rose Nacree! I’m always willing to try a new rose perfume. And now they are so temptingly close! I think it’s time for a trip to Bergdorf. Just to sample, of course. (For now 🙂 )
Yesterday I sampled Atelier Cologne’s Rose Anonyme, and I just loved it. September 12, 2012 at 1:59pm Reply

    • Victoria: Rose Anonyme is like a Middle Eastern rose cologne, a fun idea.

Please let me know what you think of this new Guerlain collection. Rose Nacree was my favorite. September 12, 2012 at 4:10pm Reply

  • eminere: I wonder if this will ever make it to Australia. September 13, 2012 at 7:31am Reply

    • Victoria: I think that it might, if it made it to the US. At first, Guerlain said that it won’t, but clearly they’ve changed their mind. September 17, 2012 at 6:20pm Reply

  • Tatiana: I am so thrilled. I ran out of time when I was in Paris in May, so I never got a chance to visit the flagship store. I now have a perfume destination for my trip to NYC this fall. I cannot wait to try these. September 14, 2012 at 1:50am Reply

    • Victoria: Tatiana, now, it should be easier to try these. I would love to hear your thoughts and which perfume you ended up liking. September 17, 2012 at 6:24pm Reply

  • Nancy A.: When I received the email from the Guerlain counter (BG) I was surprised that it entered the USA as fast as it did. I recall you were quite impressed with these fragrances based on your review. I look forward to smelling them. September 14, 2012 at 12:47pm Reply
