Jimmy Choo Flash : New Perfume

Jimmy Choo is launching its second fragrance, Jimmy Choo Flash. Created as part of a collaboration between Jimmy Choo’s new creative directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway (Tamara Mellon is no longer part of the company) and perfumer Christine Nagel, Flash is inspired by the stylish, urban women of New York, London and Paris.

“The fragrance opens with pink pepper, tangerine and strawberry, for a fresh, sparkling introduction. As these glittering top notes evaporate, heart notes of strong, exotic white flowers, with a tuberose signature enriched with notes of jasmine and white lily, reveal a heady, sexy character. A base of white, powdery woods gives a lasting impression that is both seductive and sensual, but never too much. “As a brand, Jimmy Choo is so resolutely feminine that the perfume had to have a sensual background. I used white woods, a contemporary note that gives a feminine, sophisticated touch but maintains luminosity,” says Nagel.”

Jimmy Choo Flash will be available from Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com in the US beginning the end of March. In Europe, it will be sold at Sephora starting February 2013.  The fragrance will be available as 60ml and 100ml eau de parfum, body care lotion, and shower gel. Via press release

  • Laura: I like the work of Christine Nagel. On the other hand the first Jimmy Choo was vulgar. Will give it a try. January 25, 2013 at 4:06pm Reply

    • Victoria: I didn’t care for the first one at all. Not bad, but predictable to a note. January 28, 2013 at 11:03am Reply

  • eminere: Gosh the packaging just gets uglier and uglier for such a brand as Jimmy Choo. January 25, 2013 at 8:11pm Reply

    • Victoria: I think that these faceted designs are interesting, but they have to be made perfectly. But I’ll wait till I see the bottle in person. January 28, 2013 at 11:05am Reply

  • Lainie: Everything about the packaging and the ad seems so synthetic and plastic. I think they’re trying to be glamorous and modern but it just looks completely soulless, disposable and fake to me in every way. Not attractive. January 26, 2013 at 8:49pm Reply

    • Debbie: I couldn’t agree more Lainie. Maybe I’m just not part of the target market they’re trying to reach as the marketing and presentation hold no appeal. Be interesting to see how the scent marries up with this. January 27, 2013 at 6:11am Reply

    • Victoria: Since I haven’t smelled the fragrance, I don’t know how it matches, but the ad is not one of my favorites. Your comment is exactly what I was thinking as I looked at it. Let’s hope that the fragrance is better! January 28, 2013 at 11:06am Reply
