Atelier Cologne Mandarine Glaciale Giveaway

Today we have a great giveaway thanks to one of our readers. Tim would like to find a new home for his bottle of  Atelier Cologne Mandarine Glaciale (3.3 oz, 100ml, 3/4 full, no original packaging). Tim is in Australia, but he can ship it worldwide.

It goes without saying that we are not responsible for leaks or damage during transit or for lost packages.

To participate, please answer these questions. I will draw one winner.

1. What are some of your favorite foods?
2. What perfume evoke the carefree feeling of a summer vacation?
3. May I contact you via email to notify you of your win?

The contest is now closed. The winner is Annette. Congratulations.

  • Gina Tabasso: Typed a long comment and posted but disappeared. Sigh. I mentioned I hated citrus until recently. Wearing Pamplelune lots. Like Atelier’s but they don’t last long. Want to try Shay & Blue Blood Orange.

What foods I like? Everything except liver and salmon. Exotic and spicy. Asian. Meat.

No scent evokes summer for me. I go with the feeling of the day. But, Pamplelune has been a repeater this summer. I am hooked.

Yes, you can email me. July 13, 2016 at 10:00am Reply

  • Ellen M.: Some of my favorite foods are all kinds of berries and fruit, coconut cake, and cherry pie. As for summer fragrances, I love Sideris and Ostara. I’m perfectly happy to be contacted by email and thank you and Tim for this marvelous giveaway. July 13, 2016 at 10:00am Reply

  • OnWingsofSaffron: Thanks to Tim in Australia for his wonderful gift which is as generous as, say a wonderful Hyderabadi biriyani which scores high points as a favourite dish. Ninfeo mio by Annick Goutal seems a perfect choice for the hot summer holidays (but with the cool and wet weather in Belgium at the moment a peppery and slightly strident Lavande Velours by Guerlain is also quite okay)! Local fragrant honey is must on top. Powerful breakfast! My mom’s signature dish chicken baked with golden delicious apples is another favorite. As for desert definitely Pavlova.

Summer I look forward to Alaskan Wild Salmon, simply cooked, eagerly devoured. Ratatouille provided the ingredients are freshly picked from the local farmers market. And for honorable mention: Romanesco Broccoli/Cauliflower. There’s still a question if this a hybrid veggie or broccoli but I always look for it and the price keeps escalating when I’m fortunate to find it. Fragrance for the summer would be Eau de Guerlain – refreshing, minty. Mimosa and Jardin sur Nil never fails to revive my senses. And most assuredly, I can be contacted by email. • Iva: Hi! Thanks for the giveaway! :))

    1. What are some of your favorite foods?
I love Cajun cuisine – Étouffée is my hands-down favorite dish! I could eat lasagna every day I love it so much.

    2. What perfume evoke the carefree feeling of a summer vacation?
JIL SANDER SUN – that scent evokes memories of my girlfriends and me in highschool spraying ourselves silly with it before going to the beach because it said “SUN” so we figured it was safe to lay it on thick so “the sea won’t wash it away!!” Oh my, just a whiff of it takes me back to those carefree summers. We would “layer” it with Coppertone Coconut Oil.

    3. May I contact you via email to notify you of your win?
Yes, of course! 🙂 July 15, 2016 at 3:46am Reply

  • Kate Farrar: Thank you to Tim and Victoria. 🙂

    1. I love food so much it is difficult to choose, but two of my favourite dishes are Tarka Dhal (Indian) and Khoresht Fesenjan (Persian). I love all seafood generally as well and my idea of heaven is eating mussels by the beach.

    2. I have a few scents that I love to wear in summer: Neroli and Orchidee by L’Occitane, Eden by Cacharel, Womanity by Thierry Mugler. I love Jo Malone’s Orange Blossom when its hot as it reminds me of evenings in the Mediterranean and I have recently discovered Acqua di Parma’s Arancia di Capri, which I can’t get enough of and have to keep reapplying several times a day because its so addictive.

    3. Yes, you can definitely contact me via email, thank you for asking! July 15, 2016 at 5:43am Reply

  • girasole: What a lovely, generous and refreshing giveaway. But I haven’t had my breakfast yet and reading everyone’s favourite foods has made me hungry!
    1. Because it’s early, I’m tempted to say mine is French toast, but I think I should go with seafood instead – particularly soft shell crabs or oysters.

    2. My summer vacation scent would be L’Artisan’s Mure et Musc (not a typical choice, I know, but I find it cooling in summer and so associate it with that season).

    3. And yes, I’m always happy to receive emails from live people, whatever the topic – and especially if they are about perfume!

Many thanks to Tim and Victoria…and to all the commenters who have ensured I will eat a very hearty breakfast today! July 15, 2016 at 8:52am Reply

  • Neva: How generous of Tim! Thank you!

My favourite foods are all kinds of risottos and any food made of rice and grains: with meat or fish, with vegetables, stir fried or boiled, with various seasonings and oils. It can be a warm dish or cold as a salad.

A summer vacation always goes with a cologne for the daytime. I have tried several of the Acqua di Parmas: Colonia Essenza, Fico di Amalfi, Arancia di Capri, Cedro di Taormina.

I love seafood, grilled fish, japanese and italian food. And especially portuguese food, my country.
Summer is a synonym of spending all days at the beach, and the perfume that most evokes summer to me is Eau des Merveilles by Hermès, which manages to smell like sunkissed and slightly sea salty skin. It’s absolutely gorgeous.
You can e-mail of course! July 16, 2016 at 1:55pm Reply

  • Fiona: 1-My favourite foods are Butter Chicken made at home from scratch. I love anything vegetarian and adore stuffed veggies- Gemista and plain grilled Wild Salmon with Ratatouille. I would follow that off with a Knafeh, a Midfle-Eastern shredded pastry stuffed with cheese, doused in syrup and served sizzling hot…as we do here in Egypt.
2- My favourite summer perfume has to be Clarins Eau is such a fresh alive zingy fragrance that truly epitomizes summer.

    2. Diptyque L’eau de Hesperides is definitely the scent that comes to mind when I think of summer. The crushed citrus and herbs, fresh mint and the sweetness of immortelle – all remind me of summers spent in New England.
