Fragrance News: Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir

Pomegranate

Jo Malone’s new fragrance about to debut in fall of 2005 is going to feature notes of tart pomegranate and heady patchouli, according to W magazine. I love the scent of pomegranate, from powdery green aroma of its peel to tangy sweet fragrance of the ruby red pulp, therefore I am very curious to see what Jo Malone take will be like. Pomegranate Noir is going to debut in October.

  • parislondres: Patchouli is this year’s autumn trend. I cannot wait to test SL Borneo on my skin and will give this a try too.
    Thanks V!

  • BoisdeJasmin: You are welcome! It seems so, because many new fragrances feature patchouli heavily. We will see what this one is going to be like.

  • Laura: Jo Malone is another line I haven’t been terrifically drawn to, though I love her Lemon Verbena bath oil–I’ll try this one! August 18, 2005 at 12:57pm Reply

  • Diane: I love everything about pomegranates–the scent, the color, the taste, even the way saying the word rolls off my tongue. Can’t wait to try this one. Thanks for the heads up, sweetie! August 18, 2005 at 1:05pm Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: Laura, I need to try that oil, because I love bath oils in general. Lemon verbena is one of my favourite scents, although it is difficult to find the one that is well-done. August 18, 2005 at 1:35pm Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: You are welcome, dear Diane! I cannot wait for the fall to buy pomegranates, and this fragrance would be coming just in time.

  • Atreau: Oh gosh I love pomegranates but patchouli can be either incredibly sexy or incredibly sick on me. I do hope I like it! August 19, 2005 at 3:09am Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: S, that is my thought precisely! We will see what this particular combination will be like. August 19, 2005 at 9:39am Reply

  • Campaspe: Patchouli. Sigh. And the other big trend is lavendar. Perhaps I should spend the fall with a clothespin on my nose. 😀 August 20, 2005 at 8:33am Reply

  • BoisdeJasmin: Patchouli is definitely very popular for the fall. Fall for me means being shut in the library, therefore I am not worried about any trends. 🙂 August 20, 2005 at 7:41pm Reply
