Star rating: 5 stars–outstanding/potential classic, 4 stars–very good, 3 stars–adequate, 2 stars–disappointing, 1 star–poor.
JAR Diamond Waters is Joel Arthur Rosenthal’s rendition of a white blossom, barely touched by cool aldehydic dew. Aldehydes give a crisp opening to the top notes of white rose, interspersed with sweetness of orange blossom and apricot.
A green facet appears after the top notes gently meld into the heart, warmed up by tuberose and a note reminding me of casablanca lily. Honeyed sweetness lends another layer of complexity, which in juxtaposition with clove lends an interesting blend of sensations. Series of miniature carnation explosions create both a vision of fireworks and of light refracted through a prism.

Laura: I had fun going to the JAR boutique with N, but I wasn’t fond of any of their scents. The BS factor was off the charts and that is a phenomenon I’m allergic to ;D. August 14, 2005 at 6:23am
Anjali: Well, I wasn’t blessed enough to visit the boutique with N. like both of you, but I had a lot of fun with the very attractive SA, his very attractive accent, and his scented wrist massages 😉 The only perfume that really appealed to me was Golconda, but ahhhhh…not exactly in the budget. BoisdeJasmin: I liked a couple, but they do not seem to be “me,” if you know what I mean. They do not meld into my skin, despite the fact that some in particular are really interesting. I had a lot of fun with N. at the boutique too. August 14, 2005 at 11:27am
BoisdeJasmin: A, wrist massage is most pleasant part! I really liked Golconda and Bolt of Lightning, however I agree, they are far too expensive, especially since I would probably only wear them a few times a year. Given the number of perfumes I have, that is about the average rotation schedule for me. August 14, 2005 at 12:52pm
