Montale has released two new fragrances. Blue Amber includes notes of Italian bergamot, bourbon geranium, coriander, patchouli, vetiver and base of amber and vanilla. Chypré Vanillé is a blend of vanilla, rock rose, amber, incense over a woody combination of sandalwood, vetiver and tonka bean. They are available directly from the Montale Boutique. Thank you to Neela!

ChristinaH: Thank you for the info. This is one of my favorite fragrance companies and they don’t readily update their websites with the latest so this helps to keep me in the know! February 4, 2006 at 7:49am
Judith: I do like Montale, but they drive me a bit crazy with all their different fragrances; it’s sometimes hard to figure out what the difference will be (especially in the aouds:) February 4, 2006 at 11:05am
BoisdeJasmin: Christina, you are welcome! Their website is unfortunately poorly maintained. It is impossible to navigate. February 4, 2006 at 5:03pm
BoisdeJasmin: Judith, I cannot navigate their huge line. Their aouds are especially difficult to differentiate. February 4, 2006 at 5:03pm
Tara Cazaubon: I bought the Chypre Vanille – I really loved it. Vanilla tempered with oak moss. I’m not a big chypre fan but the combination was just perfect. The Blue Amber was a dry, masculine amber to me. February 6, 2006 at 9:32pm
BoisdeJasmin: Sounds wonderful! I thought that Blue Amber would be more along my lines, but I think that I might like Chypre Vanille too. February 7, 2006 at 12:09pm
