Bergdorf Goodman in New York is having its Gift Card event on September 28th, 29th and 30th. For $100 spent, you can receive $25 off your purchase. Bergdorf Goodman’s Guerlain counter is anticipating to receive Bois d’Arménie, a beautiful new fragrance by Annick Ménardo from L’Art et la Matiere. Another new addition coming in October is Nuit d’Amour, a limited Baccarat flacon edition like last year’s Plus Que Jamais Guerlain (Plus Que Jamais has already joined the regular collection in a less extravagant packaging). Nuit d’Amour is a lush floral oriental. …
Nuit d’Amour Baccarat Crystal Flacon will be priced at $2600; the 60 ml size is $390. You can call the Guerlain counter to reserve your fragrances for the event. (212) 872-2734/(646)320-2637.

Nick: Victoria,
The adornment on the bottle! Spectacular, with perhaps a hint of irony!
Am wearing the bandit parfum. It is quite different to my memories of the EDP (which I sampled a while ago). But I love the parfum – it is less brutal than I remember the EDP, and actually quite elegant – perhaps haughtily so. I feel a relation to a chypre more in the family of Miss Dior, than the Bel Ami animilic leathers (which I remember feeling more in the EDP… Hope you are well, oh and thanks for your recent info on the EDT. Madelyn E: Dear Victoria,
Hello ! Thank you for sharing with me your 5 favorites ! I am in accord with your selections .coincidentally, Bois Des Iles is probably my “1. However, tell me more about the Hermes Doblis . I adore all Hermes (nearly) but am unfamiliar -yet intrigued by this fragrance . I am on the verge of getting the Hermes Eeau des Merveilles et the Rouge one ( the exact name momentarily escapes me ). I also plan on getting Caron Nuit zDe Noel .. at the time of the holidays .. I will probably trot over the river (East) and the bridge (the Triboro) to the Hermes and Caron boutiques m respectively . I love the elegance and luxury of visitibg these beautiful shops ! I also am now intrigued by the Guerlain offer at Bergdorf;s. As I am unfamiliar with Guerlain (for the most part) . I am looking forward to experiencing thw world of Guerlain ! I will report my findings to you ! Take care –

marchlion: Oh! I hope they put the emphasis on the “oriental” part… September 12, 2006 at 7:36am
Judith: Very interested in Nuit d’Amour, but the Baccarat bottle will probably put it beyond my reach. I hope they eventually release it in a plain bottle, like Plus que Jamais. Actually, I wish they would do this for all of them! I am still dying for a taste of La Voilette de Madame (I don’t know whether you noticed, but there was a sample bottle of this–like the ones for Angelique Noire, etc.–on Ebay recently; I got very excited and bid quite high, but for some reason, the auction was cancelled before it was over:() September 12, 2006 at 8:31am
Christina H.: I can’t wait to try this! My PQJ Baccarat needs a buddy too, lol! I fear that it’s lasting power will not be of parfum strength though. That is the heart breaking part for me.Thank you for the B.G news! September 12, 2006 at 9:02am
violetnoir: Damn! (Oops, excuse my “french”!) That’s one gorgeous bottle of juice.
Does anyone want to contribute to “The violetnoir perfume fund”? :):)

Laura: V, the blog looks incredible! You really have hit on the perfect look, crisp, clear, yet soft, too. I love it! I’m looking forward to trying the new Guerlains AND the new SL! The latter may be an SL I can wear, who knows? September 12, 2006 at 8:59am
Ina: Thanks, V.! But do you know how much it’ll cost? Love the new look! September 12, 2006 at 11:44am
Karin: What are the notes of this fragrance? September 12, 2006 at 7:41pm
Elle: Am definitely plotting an order for that discount event. Unfortunately, Nuit d’Amour won’t be on that order – still too expensive. I just ordered a sample of it. Hoping against hope that I won’t fall madly in love w/ it. W/ my luck, I will be. 🙁 September 12, 2006 at 9:13pm
N: Dear V! Love the new look of your lovely blog.
I hear that it will be leaning on roses……
Am getting a wee bit bored with Guerlain and these expensive limited editions.
Hugs!! September 13, 2006 at 5:04pm
BoisdeJasmin: Nick, yes, what a great observation! I also find the parfum to be less brutal. It seems to have the green floral components accented further, and it is definitely lacking the sharpness of the EDP. Yet, I adore both. September 14, 2006 at 12:31am
BoisdeJasmin: Madelyn, I am looking forward to your thoughts on Guerlain when you explore it further. Thank you for sharing! September 14, 2006 at 12:32am
BoisdeJasmin: March, yes, it is definitely oriental, very lush. I liked it, but I am tempted to resample it again before I make my verdict. September 14, 2006 at 12:33am
BoisdeJasmin: J, yes, Baccarat bottle is not for me either, but I hope that it will be released in a regular flacon soon. Same for La Voilette de Madame. September 14, 2006 at 12:34am
BoisdeJasmin: Laura, thank you very much! I would urge you to explore Mandarine-Mandarin. It is definitely an interesting composition, and you might like it. September 14, 2006 at 12:35am
BoisdeJasmin: Christina, I hope that your PQJ does not remain lonely for long. Please let me know what the lasting power is like on you once you get it. September 14, 2006 at 12:38am
BoisdeJasmin: Ina, thank you!
I just updated the info–Nuit d’Amour Baccarat Crystal Flacon will be priced at $2600; the 60 ml size is $390. September 14, 2006 at 12:39am
BoisdeJasmin: R, multiple funds should be opened! But in the interim, I am glad to share the news. September 14, 2006 at 12:40am
BoisdeJasmin: Karin, I do not have exact notes, but it is a floral oriental, with rose, sandalwood, amber, vanilla. September 14, 2006 at 12:40am
BoisdeJasmin: Elle, I hope that you will enjoy it. It is a good idea to try a sample first. I agree that it is a shame that the special event will not include Nuit d’Amour. September 14, 2006 at 12:41am
BoisdeJasmin: Dear N, thank you! I admit that they do not excite me that much anymore, but I am still curious. I tried it once recently, but I am still undecided. On the other hand, I am wearing Mitsouko today, and it is perfection. September 14, 2006 at 12:42am
Nick: Yes, after my EDT debacle I am definately still eager to get the Bandit EDP. I look forward to combining the EDP and parfum!
