Miller Harris just launched a new fragrance called La Fumée [Arabie]. It’s the first of several limited edition perfumes inspired by La Fumée, a smoky woody blend. According to the description: “Created in celebration of the rich beauty and magic of the Arabic cultures, La Fumée Arabie is a sensual oriental fragrance centred around the exotic woods of the Middle East.”
The notes include incense, oud, cistus absolute, cardamom, coriander seed, Egyptian cumin, incense from Yemen, Moroccan cedarwood, birch tar, rose and vanilla. The glass bottle is embellished with the 23 carat liquid gold. Available now via millerharris.com, 50ml Eau de Parfum/£110. Via millerharris.com

Elizabeth: I liked the first La Fumee well enough, but what I am really craving these days is an incense-jasmine-amber scent. Does such a thing exist outside of my imagination? July 13, 2012 at 11:02am
Victoria: Miller Harris L’Air de Rien is close, but it’s really an orange blossom. Then what about L’Artisan Parfumeur Seville a l’Aube or By Kilian Sweet Redemption? They are also more orange blossom, but jasmine is present anyway. July 13, 2012 at 11:19am
Elizabeth: I’m writing them down now. Thanks! Maybe I’ll head over to Min NY in Soho today. July 13, 2012 at 11:31am
Victoria: Thought of a few more–Creed Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie, Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee and Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge. July 13, 2012 at 11:42am
Haytham: Hello good people! I know this is two years after posting, but Elizabeth, if you’re looking for a Jasmine-Incense-Amber you should go for:
Tauer Perfumes – 01 Le Maroc pour Elle
It’s 100% what you’re looking for IMO
