A new fragrance from L’Occitane has debuted already. It is called Eau d’Iparie, and it is based on incense, myrrhe, rose and pepper (thanks to Tracey).

A new fragrance from Yves Rocher, Voile d’Ambre, offers an ambered oriental composition. The notes include green mandarin, cardamom; incense, myrrh, opoponax, patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla.

Its creator, Olivier Pescheux has been working for Givaudan for the past seven years. In creating Voile d’Ambre, he layered the base of amber and incense with sparkling spice notes. The new Estée Lauder fragrance Youth Dew Amber Nude will include notes of tea, grapefruit; black rose, carnation, jasmine, ylang-ylang; patchouli, amber, vetiver, chocolate, vanilla. “The golden color palette of the photo was not only a reference to the amber in the name, but also the ingredients. Ford noted that Youth Dew incorporates the gourmand strain of perfumery with its vanilla notes. Amber Nude instead contains chocolate, and Ford said his aim was to make Murphy look ‘like a beautiful piece of candy. I wanted to make her look so delicious that you’d want to bite into her.’ ” Youth Dew Amber Nude will be a part of the permanent collection alongside the original Youth Dew. The fragrance will be available in November of 2005. Meanwhile, feast your eyes on Carolyn Murphy who is one of Estée Lauder’s faces (wwd.com).

Fleur d’Oranger, L’Artisan Parfumeur limited edition fragrance based on their Tunisian harvest of orange blossoms, is already available at New York boutique, located at 68 Thompson St. If you are curious about the fragrance, you can read my review here.

Bvlgari tea lineup, which already includes Eau Perfumée au Thé Vert and Eau Perfumée au Thé Blanc will soon feature Red Tea. It will premier in December of 2005, and will be exclusive to Saks 5th Avenue.

I had a chance to explore Il Profumo line at Takashimaya in New York. The fragrances are created by Silvana Casoli. My favourite fragrance turned to be Café Vert, which opens up on a crisp green note, recalling verbena and lemongrass, before drying down to a slightly roasted chocolaty finish. Chocolat is a scent that recalls Angel, while Vanille Bourbon, which contains orange blossom, vanilla, orchid, rose and heliotrope, might appeal to vanilla fans. Some other scents include Vetiver de Java, Chocolat Amère, Musc Bleu and Ambre d’Or. The line is also available from Koerperkult-Hamburg, a German online store.
