Tom Ford’s Signature Collection, which includes fragrances like White Patchouli and Black Orchid, will see an addition of Violet Blonde, a rich floral composition. Although officially slated for the early September launch, the fragrance has been slowly rolled out in stores starting August. It can be found already at Saks 5th Avenue.

The composition includes notes pink pepper, violet leaf, mandarin, iris absolute, jasmine, musk, suede, cedar, vetiver and benzoin. The campaign starts the Dutch model Lara Stone. Violet Blonde is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Today on Coco Chanel’s birthday, Chanel is launching No 19 Poudré, a new variation on the classical Chanel No 19. The composition was orchestrated by Chanel in-house perfumers Jacques Polges and Christopher Sheldrake. It includes notes of mandarin, neroli, iris, jasmine, galbanum, vetiver, white musk and tonka bean. According to the press release, “the new interpretation of the scent is creative and daring, boldly combining crisp green notes with powdery iris. The scent ends sublimely, trailing off to a delicate finish, and in keeping with the original composition, N°19 Poudré still has that same light, velvety, floating feeling.” Available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue and Chanel.com starting today.

This fall Acqua di Parma will introduce a new fragrance, Gelsomino Nobile. “Centered around an exclusive and highly unique species of Jasmine grown only in the Calabria region of Italy, this new Floral Green-Musk style of eau de parfum creates the sensation of walking through lush Italian gardens, in bloom with Jasmine, while the breeze brings in the soft, salty air from the Mediterranean.”

Acqua di Parma Gelsomino Nobile will be available from Neiman Marcus in August and in other stores from September 1, 2011. It will be sold as the Eau de Parfum and body cream. (via press release)

Those who did not get enough roses this spring can anticipate three new rose fragrances to discover this summer. A Dozen Roses, a niche fragrance brand, is launching three new fragrances, Shakespeare in Love, Gold Rush and Iced White, on July 17th.

The collection is described as, “luxurious, delightful and inspiring, utilizes rose essence as never imagined. Perfumers were given free reign to create the fragrances in the collection based on original artwork and the emotion of roses that inspired them. Sean John Fragrances is releasing a new fragrance for women called Empress, the female counterpart to men’s fragrance, I Am King. “The woman who wears Empress is a force of nature, powerful, enchanting and uniquely feminine. Her presence captivates and her words inspire, compelling those around her to her cause. Men long to be by her side, women want to know her secrets,” says the press release.

The composition is a crisp, fruity floral with notes of Key Lime accord, mandarin, starfruit, raspberries, passion flower, peony, cardamom, ambrette seeds, vanilla, sandalwood, crystallized caramel and second skin accord. Empress will be released in August 2011 exclusively at Macy’s department stores nationwide. Suggested retail price is $57.00 for 1.7 oz EDP, $74.00 for 3.4 oz EDP and $38.00 for 6.7 oz Body Creme.
