  • Maureen: I have the Capri Seaside Citrus. It is a lovely, breezy citrus fragrance that I can spray on in the morning before work. I do not get a lot of coconut, after the initial, refreshing fruity open, it’s a nice little floral. It’s a very nice, summery scent, but I just wish it lasted longer, only about 2 hrs. on me. I got this instead of White Citrus, which I had last summer. White Citrus was a more wake me up, refreshing scent, but this is prettier. June 20, 2013 at 9:22am Reply

    • Victoria: Thank you, Maureen. Their previous summer collections were a lot of fun, and I had little bottles of splashes and shower gels for traveling. June 20, 2013 at 1:02pm Reply

  • breathesgelatin: These aren’t so bad, as BBW goes. The Capri Seaside Citrus and Rome Honeysuckle Amore are actually among their better scents of the last year or so. I’d consider a shower gel or something in either of those scents.

I believe these are limited edition and are already being clearanced out during the semi-annual sale, so get ’em while you can! June 20, 2013 at 9:47am Reply

    • Victoria: Thank you, it’s good to know! Plus, one could score great bargains at their sales.

I like the simple BBW blends, which are actually made well (despite their low price point). Cotton Blossom is such a cuddly, cozy perfume, and being alcohol-free, it’s perfect in the summer when my skin is more sensitive. June 20, 2013 at 2:57pm Reply

  • silverdust: BBW stuff lasts five minutes on me. Not worth the $$. June 20, 2013 at 1:36pm Reply

    • Victoria: I can understand why it may not be worth it. Although most BBW perfumes wear well on me, except for my beloved Cotton Blossom, which is an alcohol-free blend and is more like a water splash. June 20, 2013 at 3:01pm Reply

      • Canadianpetite: I also found Cotton Blossom an easy-to-wear scent plus at $4 a bottle, it’s an easy summer choice. June 21, 2013 at 1:44am Reply

        • Victoria: Yes, the price is unbeatable! June 21, 2013 at 7:26am Reply

  • Karen: I want to say Thank You! for being so open to all perfumes and fragrances. I’ve noticed that in most fields it is the most knowledgeable that are also the most open minded! June 24, 2013 at 2:22pm Reply

    • Victoria: I appreciate your kind words, even though I definitely have a long way to go in my perfume studies. I think that you can discover gems everywhere. Plus, who’s making these inexpensive BBW perfumes? The same perfumers creating fragrances for the luxurious niche and department store brands. There is something very little difference in quality as well. June 24, 2013 at 5:48pm Reply

  • Lydia: Capri Seaside Citrus is one of my all-time favorites. I am forever looking for them to bring it back and I hope that one day I will be able to purchase it in all the various forms. The combination of orange and aquatic notes is just perfect to me.

Do you know what more expensive perfumes are similar to Capri Seaside Citrus? I would like a long-term, more permanent solution besides forever hunting it down on eBay as it grows increasingly rare… July 30, 2016 at 12:46pm Reply
